Police shoot unarmed man in back of head 5 times

Happened right by my girls crib. Here's the official story.

After fleeing on foot from police, 22 year old Terrence T. Franklin broke into a house to hide. Police entered the home after a burglary call and found Terrence in the basement. Terrence was able to wrestle an MP5 with shoulder strap away from an officer, shot 2 officers once in the leg each and was subsequently shot 5 times in the back of the head. The officers were allowed 2 weeks before they gave any statement due to the trauma and stress of being shot. Neighbors recorded officers on scene using racial slurs toward the victim. Police are denying any wrong doing whatsoever. And to top it off a motorcyclist was killed after a police car slammed into him at a stoplight on route to the scene 30 minutes after it happened.

dude wrestles a police officer down and acquires that officer's weapon.

then, decides to shoot 2 other officers...

sorry that's a reasonable kill in my opinion.

It really hasn't been talked about. I know some people that know the guy and they say he was on probation and didn't want to go back to jail so maybe he had something on him. Not really sure how much truth there is to that.

And all white "non-ethnic" cops are at least 1/3 racist anyway. I hear it's a requirement.

That's crazy a motorcyclist was killed though....sounds like a hell of a day at the office for that department.

RIP to all those involved.
 
Regardless that he got shot in the head five times, he still wrestled the cops, took away their weapon, and shot them in the leg. Would it have been better if the suspect killed the cops so he could escape to live another day?

Tell me how a kid takes a machine gun strapped around an officers shoulder, in the presence of another officer with weapon. Manages to aim and shoot each officer in the leg. I mean you are cornered in a basement with cops surrounding the house, reaching for a gun, you are pretty much committing suicide and you choose to shoot them in the leg. Apparently these were rookies or are all cops prone to let frail 22 year olds relieve them of their weapon? People like you all is why they can get away with this stuff. You never have encountered authority abusing power so when they lie to you, you have no reason to believe otherwise. Folks get shot reaching for their wallet but this kid was able to reach for an officers weapon, physically take it, turn a long barrel 180 degrees and fire two shots before anyone else fires a shot? Then whatt, he turns around and gets shot in the back of the head? 5 times? No other wounds. Apparently there were some good shots there they just couldn't hold on their weapon.

EDIT: Cops were told he had a gun by the girlfriend but he was unarmed. To spell it out for you, they shot him cause they thought he was armed and thought they could get away with it. When no weapon was found they shot themselves in the leg and fabricated a story. If it seems like reaching, I would argue the cops story seems like reaching as well.

y he ran. he should of surrendered, then he shots the officers in the leg. i mean what did you expect? for them to shake hands after the entire ordeal

so what exactly is the issue here that is upsetting you?

this post, your OP, and thread title seem like you want to complain with no direction. 

i mean okay it isn't that hard to imagine dude somehow grabs the officer and they're fighting on the ground. there's no good shot while bodies are moving in close proximity like that.

then the dude gets the gun and sprays the officers. they probably beat his *** and then executed him. no matter what he wasn't gonna make it out of there alive once he decided to attack an officer.

the only thing questionable is the supposed excessive force of 5 rounds to the head, and nothing else.

If a suspect fires any sort of weapon you use deadly force....
 
Instead of shooting them in the legs he should have shot them in their heads instead.

At least get a fair trade.

Judging from previous threads, the answer might be a yes. Probably would've liked to see him approach other cops and execute them as well.
