Bo Jackson wasn't a great player though...good but not great. Puig projects to be better than .250, 25 home run guy that Bo Jackson was quite easily.

Kid is the goods...I think he is definitely of his said age too, he doesn't come from an impoverished background, his parents were both engineers in Cuba supposedly.

Do Greg Oden, Julius Randle, Brynce Harper look their age either? Nah, that means nothing. And dude has a baby face anyway.

My cousin just defected from Cuba. Her parents were both doctors. They make $30/month. Her uncle is an engineer and makes $25/month.

Not saying I know anything about how Puig grew up, but most people in Cuba aren't very well off even if they have traditionally high paying jobs. Only way to live well is usually for relatives in other countries to send money.

Bro, EVERYONE in cuba lives in poverty. Doctors, engineers, teachers, they all scrape to earn pennies. The reason being Communism. I know first hand. I have family that left cuba for this reason. Waitors for the high-end restaurants and hotels make more $ in Cuba than Doctors and other professionals.

Sorry, Im going off topic here. Its great to see a Cuban succeed in the MLB tho :smile:
 
another 3/4 night. too bad the dodgers are asss and can't seal a win leading by 3 into the 9th. I feel like he's going to waste his talents on this lame *** team.
 
I'm still a little iffy on the age too :lol: but even still dude is a beast :x Andre Ethier just watching his job get taken away :lol:
 
Sports, in general, is all about the moment....

The hot player will be talked about non-stop on every ESPN show over and over again, he'll be compared to the next ______  then as soon as he cools off or the next player of the moment comes along he/she gets no more air time (unless you're Tim Tebow)  ..... so that's what I meant about being forgotten about.

But to call him the next Bo Jackson is down right ******ed. If anyone can even be discussed as Bo Jr. it's Mike Trout. Puig's not even on Trout's level yet, he hasn't put together a season and half of phenom stats.
 
through 20 career games, Yasiel Puig has more homers and RBI than Bryce Harper and Mike Trout had COMBINED at that point.
