Let's not forget "cracker" is a word that was created by northern white people in reference to other white people, usually poor-southern whites. Since we're breaking down the exact meaning and intent of words.

..both my kids' mothers are white and I say cracka all the time... its pretty interchangeable with the casual "*****" but only used to describe what appears to be a white person..
so "*****" is just used for blacks .... and whites are both "******" and "crackas" ... "******" is universal to all races lol

agreed, but public opinion was already polluted when the news claimed GZ used a slur during his 911 call (which was later disproven)
now the trial started and they're trying to reverse that opinion.

I don't agree with how things are in the world when it comes to perception based off of skin tone alone, but it is what it is. For all intents and purposes, Zimmerman is a white man. I'm willing to wager if you showed 10 people who had no clue about this case a picture of Zimmerman, 9 would say he's white. Perception matters, ESPECIALLY when it comes to the legal system.

Let's address something very quickly, since you seem to be extremely ignorant.
The n-word and "c**n" have a 300+ year history of being used in a pejorative way towards blacks. They were both words created by those of Europeans and used by white people during lynchings, murders and rapes of African-Americans. Both words were used to oppress blacks and used in a derogatory manner to those who associated with blacks (i.e. "n-word lovers")
Cracker was also a word created Europeans in reference to southern whites in the 1700's. The exact origin of definition as to why "cracker" was used isn't completely known. Unlike terms such as the n-word and "c**n" cracker does NOT have a history of being used by blacks to oppress nor demean persons of european descent.
So THAT is why people don't scream "racism" and have a hissy fit when it occurs.
