R.I.P Trayvon

We got a couple of Frank Taaffe's up in this thread. There is no way you can say that the evidence points decisively one way or the other. All the witnesses are all over the place with the women saying Trayvon was on the bottom and the men saying Trayvon was on top. Also, this still does not tell who started the confrontation. For example, if you punch someone first, they give you the business, you can't shoot them and claim self defense.

Dude said Trayvon was doing the "ground and pound" but Zimmerman was the one who trained MMA 3 times a week. That just sounds strange.

Still, the only facts we have are that Zimmerman chased/pursued after Trayvon(according to the Zim's 911 call) and that an altercation happened, and Zimmerman killed Trayvon.

Nobody in this thread from what I have seen is saying anything decisively one way or the other. We can only go by what the testimony has been so far. So far testimony has shown that Zimmerman was confronted, got his *** beat, and shot Trayvon. The Prosecution hasnt proved that Zimmerman was the aggressor. All the women you say that saw Trayvon on the bottom didnt actually see the fight. The lady who called 911 admittedly didnt see it, and only saw someone on the ground after the shot was fired. The lady who didnt speak english admitted she didnt see the actual fight until after she heard a "skateboard hit the ground" sound.

Just because you say you "practice" MMA, doesnt mean you are actually good at it.

We really do not have facts that Zimmerman "pursued" Trayvon. Did he follow him? Yeah. Did he "pursue" him? All we know is that from Zimmerman's own words (though we dont know if that is credible, and that is up to the jury) is that when he lost sight of him, he walked back to his car, and that's when the fight started.

It's gonna come down to next week. If the forensics show that Trayvon's prints are on his gun it wont look good for the State, if they arent, it wont look good for the Defense.

this guy should be found guilty simply for the fact he racially profiled an 8 year old...

and if this dudes last name was lopez the people in here defending him would be trying to put his *** under the jail cell too

^good points, most of the testimony last week was irrelevant to the main issue of this case, self-defense.

IMO, as soon as TM realized GZ was following him and felt threatened, as evidenced by his description of GZ as "creepy", TM had all right to defend himself and "stand his ground", even if it means ambushing GZ. Maybe TM didnt think he could make it home?

Can both parties in an altercation both act in self defense at the same time? Does one overrule the other?

I'm having difficulty buying GZ's claim, because if TM doesn't see GZ "following" him, GZ wouldn't have anything/anyone to defend himself from.

Can one enter a lion's cage, kill the lion after it attacks, the claim you acted in self defense afterwards?

All that being said, the state has yet to disprove GZs claim.

The only person alive who knows what really happened is Zimmerman. We only know certain events that lead to it from personal phone calls, 7 Eleven cameras, police dispatch recordings, the works of crime scene technicians, etc.

- Trayvon had snacks while heading back to his father's girlfriend's home (who he was visiting) to play video games and watch the All-Star game.

- Before Trayvon even knew Zimmerman existed, he was being watched and accused of not belonging there. Zimmerman detailed it all while talking to a police dispatcher before the event.

- Zimmerman has a documented history of calling the police on black kids. He saw a black kid, made very clear statements to the dispatcher that he was black, then made comments about people that he thinks somehow relate to Trayvon, "always get away" after cursing them.

- Something happened in between, Zimmerman fatally shot Trayvon, and now we're here.

Does anyone disagree that if Zimmerman had not pursued Trayvon that this all could of been avoided? Even if we don't agree on why Zimmerman decided to follow Trayvon and if he was just in his decision to do so. From the call with the police dispatcher, (to me) it sounds like Zimmerman had the ability to leave Trayvon alone and decided not to.

yup it all would have been avoided had this fat jerk would have just stayed in his car no life having piece of crap.

Does anybody know how many times GZ just volunteered the fact that the kids were black? It seems like in the calls I heard, the dispatcher asked GZ for a description of the kids...and only then did he mention they were black.

They're supposed to ask for a description. It's the fact that he has so many calls on black children that people find off.

You can only have so many calls until it stops being a coincidence.

Are we sure about this though? In my estimation, Zimmerman was the confrontational party. Definitely got whooped either way.

And what's so funny about the whole scenario

The movie white chicks actually starts off about vanilla ice cream

Hilarious

At this point I give up on following the trial.

I'm just gonna wait until the verdict and when Zimmerman walks get ready for all that sweet sweet looting.

I don't want to see riots really I don't

But if it do go down its banks or bust

I don't need a bunch of crap I already got but I could use a few mill

Lol

Something tells me bigger cities like NY, LA, Miami, etc. will be prepping on the day of the verdict just in case.

Don't get your hopes up.  Also the way the government is going these days, I think they will definitely put out troops in the majority black areas of the cities.

This guy really said white ice cream...

I can picture him going to the ice cream parlor and screaming " I dont want that white ice cream ****"

After this whole week and the testimony of the physician assistant, Im starting to believe GZ inflicted some injuries on himself, and still after that his injuries weren't that bad.

I think this man is lying about everything.

Lol wow, you need help

I've been saying that for the longest. I wouldn't be surprised if Taffee came out to congratulate him on a good clean shot and tipped him off that he needs to look banged up so the self defense claim will really stick. Taffee looked pissed when Nancy grace kept saying that there was no blood on the concrete, insisting that the rain washed the blood away. You can tell he's emotionally invested on Zimmerman's behalf. Dude probably just paid his ku klux klan membership dues.

You're not doing your side any favors with ridiculous claims like this. Is the prosecution  really looking that bad for you that you have to reach like that?

 let's see, what's worse:
life in prison or
Enjoying the rest of your life outside of prison because you're able to claim self-defense after having someone (probably taffee) punch you in the nose in attempt to frame the teenager you just killed.

People are EXTREMELY conniving, manipulative and sneaky. If you think people wouldn't go to extremes to protect their own life/reputation, you're naive. Taffe does not give a DAMN about the integrity of the case. He would say it was trayvon's gun if he could.
