R.I.P Trayvon

All the punches he claims Trayvon landed, the smothering, being able to over power him, the "Your gonna die tonight MFer" comment. You missed all that?

Zimmerman never even said he was knocked out. Iono where you got that from.
I see nobody wants to address this. Yeah, this case is not about race.

already addressed it

Ill ask you this. If I decide to follow a woman at night down an alley, she gets scared and slaps or hits me. I in return choke slam her. Going by whats happening now, She would be in the wrong for being fearful and acting on it.

Exactly. That's how the law works in FL and other places. And I agree it's pretty twisted.

That's why you always hear people say "I didn't throw the first punch." Throwing the first punch is nearly always considered the most aggravating factor and used in self-defense counter-arguments.

But if you think about it, being followed isn't necessarily grounds for attacking, because it sets a horrible precedent and slippery slope.

Example: I'm walking through the city at night. Someone's following me, at every turn, I become alarmed and punch him in the mouth. What if he was gonna ask me for directions, hand me a club flyer, ask for change, etc.?

See how that could be perceived as a slippery slope? That would create an incredibly schizophrenic community if every time you become paranoid, you could strike. That's why law is so interesting. So much open for interpretation.

And it's also important to know what exactly happened in this case. What if he was cornered and GZ said something threatening? What other alternative does a scared 17 year old have? Maybe he feared for his life? That's another possibility. No one knows though.

Lmao ok so now you know me...let me ask you how many fights have you been in or seen where the smaller person, without any knowledge of marial arts or professional fighting techniques where they are fighting someone who DOES have mma training and outweighs them by 65 lbs have you heard of in which the one with no experience that we know if, wins...please enlighten me oh wise one. Bc I have news or you bigger people usually beat up on smaller people who aren't as strong as they are. And stop with adding several inches to Trayvon he was 5-11 and skinny as a beanpole, those are the facts

Not inferring I know you, but it is ridiculous to say "Well, Zimmerman was 200+ pounds, so there is no way that Trayvon couldve knocked him down.". Didnt this kid play football his entire life? Are you going to weak or considered soft playing football your entire life? Also, you dont know the extent of Zimmerman's knowledge and skill of MMA training. A lot people quit after like 3-4 weeks.

Parents have claimed he was over 6'0, though his death certificate says 5'11. Also, Zimmerman weighed in at 185lbs at his arrest, so there wasnt a 65lbs difference. My license says 5'11, but I'm 6'2. Just goes to show how credible that number can be.

Have you ever been hit in the face by a fist, elbow, or anything? Ever played sports where you get hit in the head? You get stunned. The bloody nose could of been from the initial blow. I dont know, you dont know. The only peron that knows is Zimmerman, but Trayvon is dead, so we only have Zimmerman's words. You cannot honestly tell me anything that the Prosecution has presented can lead you to believe otherwise, unless you had a preconceived opinion even before all this evidence is being laid out.

Does anyone know if they've said anything about GZ following any of those other calls about suspicious characters on foot as well?

What did Trayvon do differently that made GZ feel the need to follow him on foot compared to the other calls he made in the past about "suspicious" people in his neighborhood?

He was staring into houses that got robbed in and looking at back at Zimmerman while he was doing it

I had the weight wrong then, thanks for correcting me. But GZ was more in shape back then clearly. I believe they may call his instructor to outline details of his mma training and whatnot but TM I don't believe played football his whole life, even if he did he could've been on jv or just been on the team. I mean look at him, he is not built like someone who lifts weights or anything. He wasn't some big time player who is built like a machine. Isnt that picture old anyways? I'm not denying TM punched him in the face either. I believe he did do that sometime during their scuffle or fight. I'm just saying GZ initiated the confrontation, as a young black kid TM was obviously spooked by this random person following him and looking him up and down and according to GZ he ran. That's fear, not getting out of a car to chase or follow someone when you're packing.

And it's also important to know what exactly happened in this case. What if he was cornered and GZ said something threatening? What other alternative does a scared 17 year old have? Maybe he feared for his life? That's another possibility. No one knows though.

edited for real life.

This is kind of crazy. You have people going out of their way to try and defend stalking someone in the night by saying: "well technically it isn't illegal".

If your mom was being stalked, and reacted, but then got shot would you be so quick to claim the legalities of the case? "Well, technically, my mom shouldn't have been suspicious of a stranger following her and initiating the confrontation by spraying him with mace".

This is ridiculous- the kid obviously felt threatened by the older adult following him...he expressed that to his friend on the phone.

IMO, TM asking him "what's your problem?" proves TO ME that anything Trayvon Martin did was IN REATION to being followed.

GZ's account of the fight sounds like TM was raping him....

"you gonna take this D *****... shut up"

If the law didn't matter, there wouldn't be a trial

Shooting TM was wrong morally yes. He was wrong to follow him yes. However, it's the law that matters. If GZ acted within the boundaries of the law, nothing else matters.

It's not defending him. It's addressing the culpability as it relates to Florida's statutes.

So while all this is going on Trayvon is doing ALL the talking and Zimmerman is saying NOTHING at all??  Is this what Zimmerman wants us to believe.
