R.I.P Trayvon

so because Zimmerman said to Serinno, "I hope theres a video tape", means he must be telling the truth? I guess Im going to have to use that excuse next time.

Plus GZ knew damn well TM wasn't filming the incident. He would've obviously seen TM's phone in his hand.

Frank Taaffe is a master troll. I want to fight him. Every time he speaks i yell at the TV. i Walked out the room just know cause dude is really trolling me via satelitte.

last week He said: "trayvon was running towards zimmerman"

Today he is on board with zimmermans account which has GZ pursuing TM.

he's not even trying to be taking serious.

im just looking at it like this. According to Zimmerman, Trayvon was a master ninja with great stealth capabilities to be able to hide behind a ridiculously small bush, and appear out of nowhere, and he wanted blood. How could somebody believe that

also how did zimmerman not know that martin died if they put a sheet and everything over him??????? he a lie
I think they took Zimmerman away before they did that, but it is odd that he didn't entertain the possibility of killing him after firing his weapon.

Big day for the prosecution today, but it's still not over. I think there's a few spots where need to clarify their case or prove things to ensure a conviction. Ideally, they'd be able to prove that it was Trayvon that was yelling help, but I don't think that's possible without the voice experts. The Zimmerman statement "That doesn't sound like me" is helpful for the state, but I can see the defense arguing that he wasn't stating that that wasn't him yelling, but rather that he sounded very different as a result of the situation. I think the state would also benefit by driving home the lack of severity of the injuries. That way, they can refute the idea that his life was in danger. In conjunction with that emphasize that Zimmerman was presumably lying about the "You're gonna die tonight" comment.
Still not sure if they have enough to get the murder 2 (versus manslaughter) as I don't think they've proved that Zimmerman started the fight (unless following is considered starting the fight, something that I don't think has been established legally despite what a lot of yall are posting in this thread.) If Jeantel's testimony had been more convincing, they may have already succeeded in that. Keep in mind that while Serino initially wanted to charge Zimmerman, he wanted to charge him with manslaughter not 2nd degree murder http://www.nytimes.com/2013/07/02/us/jurors-hear-zimmermans-taped-police-interview.html?_r=0. Based on his testimony today and how he conducted himself on that video, I'm inclined to trust his judgement.

Anybody have a sense of who else the state is going to call in terms of remaining witnesses?

I remember my bike got stolen and my dad found it down the street. He knocked on the door and said my sons bike is in your back yard. The other Dad said nah I just bought my son that bike get off my property. My dad called the cops. Cops came and gave my dad the bike because my name was under the seat. Martins dad reminds me of this type of father figure

Oh we sold our house and moved 2 months after that. My dad didn't want me growing up around families like that

yea pretty much. its like a self defense case within a self defense case. trayvon could have been defending himself against gz who was pursuing him. in defending himself from gz, gz shoots the boy, and is, ironically, using the self defense pretense to justify said killing.

problem is there are only 2 witnesses to the altercation and one is dead. also, with the stand your ground law, am i correct in understanding that you can justify deadly force if you are within immediate danger of serious bodily harm? cuz i think what defines immediate danger of serious bodily harm is a very grey area...

Zimmerans did not use the "stand your ground" defense

I doubt you can claim stand your ground and have people believe it when its blatant you were approaching the person.

If what I believe is true trayvon could have been "standing his ground"

yea that was what i was confused about. but its murder or he's defending himself against martin. thing that blows my mind is that his pursuit of martin alone should be significant evidence to suggest at least intent/malice or something. esp since he had a gun.

thats the thing, in Zimmerman's version he had given up pursuit and was going back to his car when he was "attacked". SO theoretically, that would make martin the aggressor and Zimmerman in his right to defend himself. I think its bs, but Martin isnt alive to refute it

Don't forget

GZ said he was hit 25 to 30 times mouth covered and suffocated

But no blood or dna on TM hands, ,sleeves, or cuffs

TM must be Kenshi from MK to do that type of attack

The local news analyst was saying it was a good day for the defense because by playing the tapes of Zimmerman's story, the prosecution put his personal account of the events as evidence on the record. So the analyst was saying there's no reason for Zimmerman to take the stand now which is a huge victory for the defense.

Serious question, If Zimmerman walks, what do you think the aftermath will be in terms of possible rioting and violence etc

There won't be any rioting. It took a while for us to learn, but destroying our own communities does nothing for us except drive property values lower so that outsiders can come in buy it up and price us out.

I see no riots happening.
Just tears.

I really want GZ to take the stand.
Tales of the mallard would be in full effect on that stand equip with sound effects and real emotions.

I think you meant to say

"When he walks"

I honestly don't think this case has the power to create riots

That spirit of revenge inside of my people has been surpressed for so long it will take something bigger than this to stir it up

Like BO getting assasinated or something

This case can be the spark that leads to something like that tho if it goes either way I mean think about it
