Man I'm getting closer to that point. I hope everything works out for you. I remember when you were talking about it a while back just do what the doctors recommend and hope for the best.

Life is just a bizarre crap shoot. My wifes friends had to do invitro to get pregnant several times and it went down.

Meanwhile, we're the same age, which is the age where getting pregnant is supposedly more of a challenge. I drink, I blaze, I stress like mad over work, and we hit the bullseye the first time we tried.

But we also didn't have sex for like 2 weeks and no fap so I loaded up to get it done. Maybe that would help?

Here's the thing....this is a bit of a digression. I haven't seen my pops since I was about 8.

Parents had me young. Which was a lesson. So it wasn't no "Team Raw" for most of my life til' I settled down with my girl/wife.

As I said, we were in a "high risk" age category. So I'm obviously talking mid-high 30's.

We lived out lives. Partied. Traveled. Established ourselves professionally. Wife got her doctorate etc. So it was a natural time to have a baby. Which is key.

What I didn't make clear is that we were tracking her fertility cycle. So I was loading up to hit a 1-2 day window when she was most fertile.

If that wish for the best was for me, I'm already a dad. Love my lil mans.

And OP, like I said, we have some friends who got In-vitro to work. Remember, you only need one warrior sperm to get it done.

So many lackluster fathers out there with kids they seemingly dont want, and somehow a good guy like you gets the short end of the stick.

Good luck steezy. Life has a way of working itself out so im sure you and your wife will be fortunate enough to have a loving child one way or the other. Less likely things have happened; just keep at it.

Just pray on it.  My brother's friend had a doctor tell him the same thing.  He has two boys now.  Sounds cliche and unrealistic, but you just gotta believe.

Thanks for the support Phillip...it's very stressful, specially being an only child to a single mother, the inland wanting a grandkid also, seeing my niece grow up and knowing that if by the time my child comes all of my close friends and family's kids will be WAYYYY older...so many factors come in to play and then I turn around and I see two 19 year olds popping a kid they can't even support, irks me to say the least....honestly one of my biggest fears though, is something happening to me and leaving my mother with nothing since I'm all she has.

No harm done Ricky...I share the private little details with you guys easier than I probably would with people who actually know me...to you guys I'm just a dude behind a screen at the end of the day, how much would it really hurt me if someone threw this in my face...they'll look worse by doing so really.

It's funny you guys say to pray on it...lol...motherinlaw brought me some blessed fertility bread she got from some woman with a prayer inside....lol...bread is delishhhh

I was in the same spot. SIngle mom. Only son (I have a 1/2 brother with the same ******* father who also doesn't talk to him, so we're both our mother's only sons).

Don't trip on all that other stuff. Some of my boys had kids before me. Some of my boys can't even find a decent woman. Everyone's timeline is different.

I don't believe in "prayer" persay. But I do believe in the power of positive thinking. You're driving yourself nuts man.

At least now you KNOW what the issue is, at a young age all things considered, and you can work on a solution.

Props for being a man that wants to be a real father. Really sounds like you have your mind in the right place and will be a great dad. Keep trying whatever the doctors advise and ill be hoping for the best for you and your fam.

I understand what you're saying about having the full experience and a child with your genes so you should continue trying, but worst case it'd be a shame for you to not be a dad. Like people have said, there are plenty of kids out there in need of a parent, and knowing you as well as you can from a forum, you'd provide a better family environment than most.

But for real though, I remember you mentioning this before, and I commented that it might be you thats have fertility issues.
I would say to try different docs for second opinions.

Also I would like for you to look into HCG and HMG. I am on HCG for other medical reasons and I believe the 2 would help you greatly


Human menopausal gonadotropin (hMG) and recombinant human follicle-stimulating hormone (rFSH) are gonadotropin fertility drugs.
hMG contains natural FSH and LH, purified from urine from postmenopausal women. (After menopause, women produce high levels of gonadotropins, which are excreted in their urine.)
rFSH is genetically synthesized in the laboratory.

Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is similar to LH. It contains equal amounts of LH and FSH. These hormones play a central role in egg production.

How It Works

In women. Luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) are necessary for egg production (ovulation). Early in the menstrual cycle, a woman with low hormone levels who is not ovulating can have daily human menopausal gonadotropin (hMG) or recombinant human FSH (rFSH) injections for an average of 12 days. If this helps develop mature follicles, the ovary is ready to ovulate. One dose of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is then used to stimulate ovulation.

In men with low testosterone and FSH. LH stimulates the production of testosterone, and FSH promotes the formation of sperm. If a semen analysis, LH testing, and FSH testing suggest that abnormal hormone levels are preventing sperm production, these gonadotropins may be prescribed together to promote sperm formation. The man gets an hCG injection 3 times weekly until blood testosterone level is within the normal range (this may take 4 to 6 months). Treatment continues with injections of hCG 2 times a week and hMG or FSH 3 times a week until the sperm count rises to normal levels.
 
That sucks, it always seems like the people that would be the best parents and would really appreciate having kids have trouble and the people that are not even trying and are bad parents keep pumping out kids :smh:

I hate that stupid teenagers are getting pregnant left and right of unwanted children. Meanwhile good people are having trouble having a child.
