I'm excited for these. Of all the city pack, I would pick these after Chi. I wouldnt mind seeing the ny,orlando, sac, or seatle colorways either. It has been a solid couple of years for the 10. Chi, old royals, stealths, steels, powder blues.

1st: GLAD TO SEE THESE COMING BACK

2nd: Always thought these were related more to UNC than anything else...well at least back in 95 they were.

Either way, I'm coppin'

These came in the city pack, so unless there is a city that closer resembles that color any better... These are the charlotte 10's. Its not like its tarheel blue.

nice, but i'll pass. Too much work coppin these over-priced, sub-par quality jordans these days.

Aww man.  We got a situation!!!  Nice.  I've seen beaters on eBay years ago going for well over $300, so this is going to be nice to get a DS wearable pair for retail.

og x's are still wearable. i wear my shadows and steels all the time no problem

Via Nice Kicks - I'm sure its their interpretation but I couldn't agree more. http://www.nicekicks.com/2012/01/19/history-air-jordan-10-city-series/6/

"Hornets ties and Carolina roots made the ?Charlotte? 10s an unofficial member of the City Series by association. These are often mentioned to be a part of the “City Series”, but the “Powder Blue” 10 simply pays homage to Chapel Hill and were a follow-up to the “Powder Blue” IXs. These were released nationwide and sported locally by Chapel Hill hooper Jerry Stackhouse."

Glad to see that these are going to be retroed. I've got the OG version, but it will be nice to add a fresh pair. I'm expecting flimsy pleather, but that's the norm nowadays. Like others have said, I hope this means we'll get the City Series next year. I hate that these get called Hornets; nothing to do with them at all. These are Carolina X's. The team wore these back in 94.

I would agree. I don't know how the powder blue matches any of the Hornets colors. This is another case of kids having to attach a label and association to every release. Why can't they just be the powder blues?

The Air Jordan 10 "Hornets" CW originally released as part of the Jordan X "Cities Series" in November 1994.  The same CW is set to release in March 2014, leading up to the return of the Charlotte Hornets to the NBA for the 2014-2015 season, a move that Michael Jordan himself made happen to generate buzz for his team.

That's total B.S. For the 150 of us total who regularly go to Bobcats games, it was something the fans started and promoted last 2 seasons straight relentlessly at every home game. Even one fan was dressing up as the Hornet mascot in the crowd and performing...

Off topic, but just sayin'...

For those saying that these don't go with the Hornets colors: what makes you think the Hornets will be going back to their old color scheme?

LMAO is powder blues NOT attaching a name and a label to a release? Hahaha and you are calling ANYONE else kid with that kind of contradictory statement? Unlike you and Derkro, apparently, I don't need to use the Internet to get info about these. They were given the Charlotte Hornets nickname well before I made this thread. Type in the colors listed in google and see what pops up? Better yet, type them as they were originally shown on the box, white/black- dark powder blue. It's going to be a lot of info about the "Hornets" X's (exactly as they are labeled by nice kicks themselves in the title of your article).

LOL like I give a crap to name these after the worst team in basketball. And to the bobcats fan, you may want to take the part about MJ up with a little known station named ESPN. Copy and pasted from their cited article.

CHARLOTTE HORNETS OFFICIAL TEAM ALTERNATE UNI COLORS from. 1994-1995 season thru the 1995-1996 season (just so happens to be the timeframe these released);

Purple, Teal, White (franchise colors), LIGHT BLUE, Royal Blue, Kelly Green

Edit: Can't argue or banned.
