Ray Donovan; new series on showtime

I could see Ray using Cochran to get rid of Cookie. I don't think he can rely on the police because of the affair and whatever was going on when they pulled his daughter over for the weed.

The beef between Allen and Mick is Claudette. Mick comes out there and starts ******* his wife. He has been told about Mick and came to his own conclusions.

Yeh I definitely see the song blowing. I don't see anything happening to the daughter though. Ray not going for that.

Did y'all see they have been renewed for third season? Late pass if so

Marvin wanted a better life but didn't get it in the end. I don't think there was anything he could've done to not get killed other than not demonstrate his talent. As much as dudes hated his character I thought it was sad that he was seen as property that could be bought and sold to the highest bidder.
 
i feel like recon should have known how cookie would handle it

i guess lee didnt even tell recon he tried to pay and instead insulted cookie like that
 
Aepps, he did get to a better life than the one he had known. Rekon took him away from Compton. He was on his way. It was definitely unfortunate that he didn't get to see all that life had in store.

I also hate the fact that he was just signed away like property. Ray had an idea of the trouble cookie could bring, but I think he was more interested in moving the boy away from his daughter.

I also believe that Rekon was not aware of the circumstances. It seems he was only spending the last time with his "son". As I said in a previous post, Lee is to blame. That greed got in the way and led to their deaths. There are some preview shots of Ray handling Lee on Sho.com.
 
I agree that he did get a taste of a better life it just seemed like he was doomed to fail. Nothing he could've done to not get killed. Rekon sealed his fate the moment he took 30k from cookie.

Marvin was treated like property from the very beginning. His mom, Ray, Lee, Rekon all treated him that way. I always felt that the main reason he liked Bridgette was she treated him like a person.
 
I don't think Ray met his match with Cookie. The jury is still out on that. I just think he underestimated him.

Yeah that's when I was officially done with her and saw no redeemable qualities in the character.

I just finished watching it again and saw where Abby said she didn't want the house. That only makes me dislike the character more. Just asking for **** just to do it.

I don't feel Rekon sealed his fate. It was Lee. cookie made it clear he didn't want money.

You're leaving out a key part in the fact that he keeps Abby out of the loop completely or only tells part of the story. Mickey manipulated her just like every one else. His family didn't know how much of a scumbag Mick is...kids still don't. Mickey was gonna come with or without her. I guess it's Brigdets fault the got weed planted on her too :lol:



If Ray never worked with or for Rekon Marvin wouldn't have been in the picture at all... His mom got murdered essentially because of Ray drug addicts and money or talk of money don't mix. By working with Reckon Cookie was gonna be in the picture regardless.





Ray brings a lot of this on himself the fact that some of you can't see it is mind boggling

Ray didn't underestimate Cookie.

He told Lee repeatedly to leave this situation alone and not mess with Cookie.

Lee really ****** this Marvin situation right up and guarantee he isn't gonna get any repercussions from it.
 
Ray's true motivation was giving Marvin to Cookie so that he'd be away from his daughter otherwise I don't think he would have be up for it
 
One theory I was reading...Lee knew EXACTLY what would happen to Marvin and that's why he offered 150K to Cookie. Marvin worth more dead (to Lee) than alive.

That seems plausible.

Lee does come off as a supreme scumbag so I wouldn't put it past him.
 
Lee is just an idiot who was under the assumption he could pay Cookie to go away.

Aside from bringing more police presence to their business/law firm. Losing essentially 2 clients on purpose doesn't make sense....kid was suppose to be the black Bieber.

Insurance? One time payment. Put the song out blows up more because he died..then it eventually fades away. Not like kid had some huge catalog. With him alive he can make money off him indefinitely.
 
Yeh I'm not buying that Lee did it on purpose. I just feel it was greed and ignorance on his part.
