Black Infrared VI's returning in 2014. NO GM TALK!

1992 OG infrareds had 3/4 durabuck and the heel panel was smooth leather with 3M underneath
2000 Infrared (not sure, fill me in) I think it was a fully nubuck build, no 3M
2010 Infrared was fully mediocre suede, no 3M

All 100% correct...

If these released with a durabuck build they would've been the closest to the OG's we've seen yet...Especially with the use of the 3M underlay's...In regards to material usage that is...

just got locked down for my size in-store by this cool *** female at HOH

What was that combo leather/suede material they used on this year's powder blue 3s and infrared 10s?

Seemed like it was an extremely short cut suede...Only ever had each pair in hand while looking at them in store though...Maybe somebody who owns those can chime in but they definitely had a suede feel to me...

Bout the nap youre right its super short. Note that both Powder-Blue 3 and Infrared 10 have grain shining through, therefore it would be a nubuck (grain side sanded and then cut for short nap).

Suede can have a short nap too, but it wouldnt have the grain that leather/nubuck has as its made from underside of the skin and not the grain side.

Just sayin.

these are two shots that i could grab while going through new inventory yesterday at work, for reference its a size 12. They look amazing in person. The infrared is very vibrant, although it could be because the background is black now and not white. As for the whole color debate it honestly looks just like the white infrared color from earlier this year and i am a ok with that!

They've been going up on prices for the past few years every year. I dunno why folks thought these would stay the same when they do record numbers every single release. They're gonna raise it and folks will pay it. Why wouldn't they raise the price?
I see what you're saying, but to say that dudes shouldn't be buying $200 shoes if they are worried about $15 is kind of a blank statement. I bet most the people on here buying them shouldn't REALLY be doing it.... and also I don't buy $200 shoes and that's kind of the point. 185 is just too damn close to 200 for comfort imo. These shoes should have neverrrrrrrrr gotten to this price point but hey it's happening and nike will still easily sell them so I'm just gonna have to step away from the habit now which is frankly fine with me. I've got roughly 45-50 pairs so I'm good, it just feels a little crappy to have to walk away from a line you grew up loving because the company is exploiting every single aspect of the popularity. can't blame them but it still feels like a slap in the face for some of us

i like how au lists it infrared

How long? If you wear your shoes every day then never haha.
Depends, the oxidation needs light (UV) and oxygen from air. Problem with storage is that you cant seal the shoe in a container (like fully synthetic lebron 11) because its only half synthetic, so it need to breath or it will crumble like leather.
Educated guess (pulling out of my a*s) would be, at around age of 6 (from release date) you would start to see the oxydation happening (tiny cracks here and there, yellowing, rubber hardening). It all depends where you live and what atmospherical conditions are and how often you wear them (less wear/more storage = crumble on wear after long storage). If the icy soles werent monguled with, how icy it is would be a good indicator of oxydation (more yellow = more oxydation).

2000 was the closest it had 3m , durabuck and NA

^^^Since the 2000's didn't have 3M...In terms of materials used these would have been the closest to the OG's had they made use of durabuck...Again in terms of materials used and not taking into account the shade of infrared, lack of Nike Air, and blue tint to the clear portion of the soles...

When do the raffeles start? i live in nyc so i cam hit like 10 stores i just hope i dont have to wait in line with a bunch of crackheads it happened last time lol
