I just want one pair for retail, to wear the day I get them. This is one of the best releases all year for me.

To get raffle tickets, do they open up the store earlier or right on regular opening time?? I read somewhere here they would open at 8:00 a.m as opposed to a regular 10:00 a.m.. This is to avoid disruption with customers

these are my first 6's can someone explain to me the reason for the garbage bag type material in the box? like is there a story behind it or was nike just being cheap back in the day?

I had to give in and pay $285. It's sad what Jordan's have become. My local store that get's Jordans that did first come first serve are now are going to do raffles from now on. He said it's just getting too crazy with the amount of calls they're getting. For me I couldn't take any chances with this raffle BS nor taking chances online. I guess $100 over retail isn't too bad. :rolleyes :smh:

Not sure if serious

I tried on the size 12's I ordered from weekend drop. I thought they fit very similar to the white/infrareds I have in size 11.5. I'm not sure I would have been able to do the 11.5 in these since they probably would have been too tight across my feet. I plan to change out the insole to something a bit thicker and more comfortable so if you plan to do that as well I recommend going with your true size in these.

So out of 9 raffles i won 2. um, i want to say the hype is real, but not really lol

The sad reality is majority of these raffles are rigged. I hit a dude who I got hip with from eBay after paying resell for the Champagnes. So he sends texts for upcoming shoes so he sent a text for the Infrared last week. Thinking I was going to be able to camp at my local store I ignored the text. I learn later that my store is going to do raffles from now on I was like man, can't take no chances so I hit dude up like I need a 13 he's like okay I got you. I'll just remove someone's name from the raffle. :x My local store I myself can say are legit they follow the book but these big chain stores like Footlocker, etc in these big malls it's a money making free for all. People wonder why some of these preorder sites guarantee you the shoes with receipt? That's because they are in with these stores. Lie to everyone with a raffle so they can sell for higher.

No, the majority aren't

It's up to the store and store manager.

I really hope that will be the case…

So basically you paid the store/manager $100 to avoid the raffle.  It's stuff like this that fuels the corruption of raffles.  Consumers who are willing to front up the extra money is giving the green light to employees to make "sales" like this.  Online is always a viable option with these especially with all the major sites AND smaller sites that will be selling them. And even if you do strike out on the websites, unclaimed pairs is the next option.  There are so many pairs of these made, and by the looks of it, a lot of multiple raffle winners; there have been cases (me as a prime example) where I won multiple raffles at different stores, but didn't pick up those shoes leaving them available after the pickup window expires.  Just have to put in the work and you'll be rewarded.

EDIT: and even if you do strike out from all the options, don't you know people in a facebook group, friends, coworkers, this NikeTalk thread who are willing to sell you an extra pair they get for retail?! If you look back a few pages there are members here looking out for another, promising guidance and assistance in landing a pair.
