So yea, I really had no idea nor did I care that the OGs had 3m on them.

Guess what else we used to do back then, throw away our jordans.  All my OG jordans are in a landfill somewhere because retro jordans didn't exist, if you didn't have the jordans that came out that year all you had were old jordans.

Posts so nice, I had to quote you twice. Unfortunately I didn't get to live in the era where there weren't people trying to impress others with stupid poses and #KOTD. Not knocking whoever does it, do you, but to me, that **** is beyond lame.

And I still give away my kicks when I can, usually when I'm in Brazil, I give them away to either family or kids I grew up with that don't have proper basketball shoes. Which is kind of ironic because the first Jordan's I got were hand-me-down white cement 4s from '99 for my first basketball season ever lol as a football (soccer) player I didn't know wtf they were to be honest but I loved them regardless.

Last kicks I gave away were the Bordeaux's back in '11 and this year I gave my Raid's to the kid who is the brother of the guy I gave my Bordeaux's to lol.

Giving away kicks in the right situation honestly feels better than being able to purchase them through all this chaos that happens on release date, not gonna lie.
 
These days the sneaker repair game is good enough that you can just keep pairs and restore them for less than the price of a new pair

Why would anyone think 2 identical shoes would have different shades of the infrared? I mean did JB give you guys any prior cases of this happening? I don't think so, white and black grape 5s same colors. The last white and black 6s had same red shade as each other..Why would these be different.

Speaking of this back heel panel, The 2014 doesnt have this smooth, almost like dull leather material.

IMO, I would prefer the 2000 back panel material but i guess they always shy away from making the shoe almost exact these days. If it aint the material, its the color. Cant we just get an on point retro!?

90% of these kids were claiming how it was a white and pink shoe but now because of hype are fine with a black and "pink" shoe :rofl:

Yea I don't get that at all. Back in Feb when the whites dropped, the majority of folks were disappointed to say the least with that pink infrared. And now they're protecting that JB pink infrared like it's their new born baby or something.

Not really irrational. The Infra-whatever people call it just looks better on black than the white pair. Hype and whatever else aside.

So black and pink looks better than white and pink?? :rolleyes it's the same bright color many were hating on...

Exactly one accent on one shoe can look awful on another. Maybe it wasn't explicitly clear or maybe I am the only one who feels this way. I think people criticized the color. But it was more about how it made the overall shoe look. It adds to the black shoe but does nothing for the whites which just look bland.

The truth is that no one knows for sure what the infrared will look like until we get official pics. But most likely it will be the same shade JB used on the whites.
Some people in this thread need to chill ( they know who they are) or thread bans will be issued.
