Black Infrared VI's returning in 2014. NO GM TALK!

The comment above confirms that I'm getting too old for NT (JB forum) and this sneaker culture. My days are coming to an end.
Same here, not getting any younger and those cats asking questions like that is just killing me :))

Im 21.. Thats a duo group called Criss-Cross and had a Hit song called "Jump".. Which they had their pants on backwards in that video.. Apparently it was the style back then.. Thats the only song i ever heard from him.. But they have nothing to do with the History of the shoes. Jordan made these shoes Famous and sought after NOBODY else..

Could be wrong about their group name, but pretty sure it was Criss-Cross.. Its not cause these dudes or young, they just dont care about old school MUSIC,they care about the shoes..

(No shade to either age group)

I didn't even think of that either, but yeah you know how it is these days.

Its actually spelled Kris-Kross, but yeah you are pretty close. But before the i-net the kicks were not only made famous by MJ, but every other celebrity that was pictured on a magazine or an album cover or an MTV awards. When you think of it kind of like today, but not as quick and not as instant, with a lot less hype.

Yeah i get that.. But i see it like this..

When yu seen MJ win his ring with them was all you needed to make yu want em. You werent on the fence about them, and then you see Kris-Kross with them on and that confirmed your decision on purchasing..

no. It was just them lol.
they were spelled kriss kross though.

I was at the end if Elementary / Middle School at that time in 91 . I remember seeing MJ in those sixes beat the Lakers and I was one of the most die hard Laker fans back then. I also remember even in LA tons of people had on 6's and the days of wearing pants backwards last for a minute too. LOL. I can't wait to get these and even bring back some negative memories of 91 and that championship series.

Well you were not even born at that time so no really a way for you to know how it was, but no meter, different factors were plaid back in the old days.

Styles were wild back then. Before that backwards stuff people were wearing they clothes inside out, caps and jackets with the tags still on the clothes.

Before that it was dudes wearing biker shorts n fanny packs :x

Before that it was dudes wearing high waters and see through fishnet half shirt :x :x :x

The mismatch shoe fad goes back to the 60's or 70's i think with the chuck taylors

No idea is original

But someone asked what high school doesnt have kids wearing j's.... My niece goes to a rich private school and she says nobody had high end shoes there. Alot of kids these days on that vans, keds, converse, sandals steez lol

C'mon Noble, you can't slander 12 year olds making money.

No different than Cam with the pink, 4XL white tees, girbaud jeans with the colorful straps, Parasuco jeans with the colors on the side...

No different from the "weird" stuff the kids wear nowadays...leather joggers and such. It's a sign of the times...which have changed a little. Also, celebrities always gotta go against the grain. Even the coogi pants that Biggie used to rock had some getting used to.
