I've never understood why people pull for some who are, without question, guilty of the crime they're being accused of. It's like... why? Some might say it's a racial thing, but I'm a minority and I've never wanted to see anyone of any race made free if they are guilty of a crime like this one.
 
This kind of helps the Pats save some face. But lets be real, they aren't getting off the hook on this, especially if he is tied to the shooting in 2012.

But it is a nice gesture and I think the fans will appreciate it. I'd be pissed if I just copped a $60+ jersey and this ends up happening and I can't even wear it. Unfortunately, I have a feeling that these will become somewhat of a collectors item.

Why wouldnt you be able to wear it? Because it says Hernandez? Some people dont care about that at all, I still see people wear jerseys for players who dont even play on that team anymore to the games. Its about having a jersey period for most, not whos on it.

Big difference of wearing a guy who was traded/released from wearing on of an accused murderer. That is the whole reason they are doing the exchange, its not like they do this every time a guy leaves the team.

You can wear it if you want but most will not want to. This is giving fans who purchased the jersey an opportunity to exchange it for one they will.

And people do wear players' jerseys who are not currently on said teams but this is obviously a very different situation :lol:

I'm aware of that, I'm saying that it wont make a difference to most people that he did what he did in terms of wearing the jersey. I can really onyl assume what I think people in my age group will do, I'm sure that parents wont want their kids keeping it or keeping theirs. If I had one I would keep it/list it on eBay
 
Legend has it that Aaron Hernandez had something to do with the disappearance of Manti Te'os girlfriend.

No matter how I feel about Hernandez, I wouldn't wear it because I don't like drawing unnecessary attention to myself. But that is just me.

So if I had one I would definitely trade it in.
