College coaches def know a lot of **** that be going on with their players...they got extra eyes on their players at all times

You under estimate NFL security. I'm not saying they knew AH was out there catching bodies, but they know if a star player is mixed up in goon life. It's their business to know. Dallas had a dude living in Dez Bryant's house. The first person Hernandez spoke to last week was The Pats' security guy.
Anyone who knew about Hernandez from high school and even Gainesville knew he USED to be a goon. There's no way the pats and gators didn't have hints.
They saw the signs. Just probably thought it wouldn't get in the way of football too much.
