I really dont see the big deal...I mean I still rocked a vick jersey. And lets face it majority America has more compassion and feel stronger about animals (mainly cats/dogs) then a random black guy. I seriously doubt there would be much of a hoopla over wearing his jersey, not to the affect of vick...ala like ppl throwing paint on folks with vicks jersey and other crazy things like that.

SIZE=4][COLOR=#red]Dude, the victim so far is not what the focus is on...it's more about Hernandez being implicated with premeditated execution style cold blooded murder and how sloppy he was going about it. Mike Vick was involved with dogs being killed, it's called animal cruelty, yes that is horrible but it in no way carries as much of a negative connotation as murder which is considered one of the worst crimes of humanity. It's not the victim as much as it is the crime which in sports is a rarity...yes there have been sports guys that have killed people like Little and Stallworth and Jay Williams, but those were more of negligence type cases, AH is more like calculated murder. Ok so you have OJ, but still.

I hear what you saying but in a utopian world you might be right. But in this world and in this usa...nah. I doubt the will bomb him and try to attack him if he gets bail. I doubt various organizations etc...will be in outrage the way they were with vick. Honestly the public outcry as of now isn't as big as vicks' was.....Ppl were going bezerk with the vick incident, even before he went to trial and was convicted.
Maybe it isn't as big due to the Trayvon Martin trial...who knows...But the general public outcry isn't even close to what it was when Vick was being accused. I mean look at Ray Lewis...their wasn't a big hoopla about that. I mean I could go on and on about various headline murders, but I think you get the point.
Trust and no racism but in all honesty, the magnitude of public outcry and outrage would be much more, if lets see the victim was a young white woman and she was raped and murdered.
So as much as the crime ideally sounds like it would be the bigger issue, and often times it is. The victim and what they are be it race/sex/ and especially age with children always being on top as far as, ppl outrage levels when it comes to victims. You may not think it...but I mean for example look at the general thread...there are I think 4 or 5 stories of murder. Which ones are the top ones and have most responses with outrage.....the ones with children and women.
Not to equate NT represent the nation at large, but it does kinda give you a sample size of exactly my point.

um lol last I check oj jerseys weren't exactly ready stocked and easily available... Like I said. Folks didn't make a big deal about Ray Lewis...But did with Rae Carruth. Why because Rae involved a woman and child. OJ big deal because it involved whites, with one being a woman. And im not going to even mention rappers, who get killed versus lets say if someone like a Taylor Swift was murdered.
Everybody knows the general order of level of public outrage....
Kids: With white ones being first
Women: With young pretty white ones being first..especially if they where raped then killed or if they were pregnant
Men: Not that much of a big deal unless they are famous or did something meaningful ala served in military etc...
As stupid and as ignorant as it may sound that is the way it goes.
As far as the criminals
Men: With Blacks or any Spanish race being first
Women and Children: Usually is a wash with most of the time depending on the race of the kid...usually if its a white kid, typical there is a level of justification or the media spins it and talks about how good they were in school how popular they were aka what could have possibly made them do this.

My boy collects jersey of athletes that have been convicted of serious crimes. People always give him **** for wearing the jerseys. He bought his Hernandez jersey when he got arrested.

I don't know what was said in the last couple pages and if the thread's moved on from it, I'm sorry for bringing the issue back up but for the dudes that are knocking Matt Light for "kicking AH while he's down/facing life in prison/whatever", it's not like AH was unfortunately put in this situation. Okay, innocent til proven guilty, but if you look at the evidence, he is way more than likely guilty. Either way he did it to himself and reports about his previous behavior along with Matt Light's comment only support the idea that it's not a surprise that AH ended up with cuffs on, whether it's for a night or for the rest of his life. I can't speak for Light and what he saw of AH but obviously he wasn't going to say anything before now and I think that even though it's how teammates should act, it shows some respect. Now AH isn't his teammate because of his own stupidity so Light just left as he's not gonna say anymore or go into specifics but he saw it coming.
Some people think it's a shame that he's now wasted all that talent, threw away this huge contract, the house and cars (even the rentals) and his freedom...it's way worse that someone is dead regardless of the stature or the accused. AH had opportunity to move on and live a better life. If he killed someone the way this has been detailed and if he's tied to the double murder + that's why Odin Lloyd is dead? He doesn't deserve to be a free man and especially not have opportunities most would dream of.

It's crazy how much people have to say about a bunch of people they don't know from a hole in the wall. Aaron Hernandez is a good football player, a goon is a goon though. Plenty of people have thrown away opportunity, he just happened to make it all the way before he did. That man who died, none of you have a clue as to what type of man he was, no one even knows how deep the reasoning behind this goes. All the **** that goes on in this world, and this is all we gonna hear about until some other famous person screws up smh
