New Report - Aaron Hernandez Molested as a Child - p. 167

It became clear last Wednesday that prosecutors had obtained information from one or both of the men riding in the car withAaron Hernandez  and Odin Lloyd the night Lloyd was killed.

As it turns out, one of them met with police the prior day.

Carlos Ortiz, who per multiple reports was arrested on Wednesday, June 26, in Connecticut, was interviewed by police on Tuesday, June 24, according to the North Attleboro Sun-Chronicle.

While the report focuses only on information from Ortiz regarding Hernandez’s visit to a Franklin, Massachusetts condo Hernandez rented and Ortiz inadvertently leaving his cell phone there, chances are that the interview swept much more broadly than that.

Last Wednesday, prosecutor Bill McCauley attributed to Hernandez during his arraignment statements Hernandez allegedly made to Lloyd in the car regarding Hernandez’s disappointment with Lloyd and Hernandez’s inability to “trust” him.  McCauley presumably felt compelled to show that specific card in order to establish some shred of motive, in the hopes of ensuring Hernandez would be held without bail.

Prosecutors likely have many other cards.  And it appears that Ortiz, who faces for now only weapons charges, is the one who was doing the dealing.

Aaron Hernandez’s fiancée wouldn’t be able to testify against him  if the two of them marry before he goes to trial. But the sheriff who oversees the jail holding Hernandez doesn’t want that to happen.

Bristol County Sheriff Thomas M. Hodgson told USA Today  that he would try to prevent Hernandez and fiancée Shayanna Jenkins from marrying.

“I don’t subscribe to that. I feel that those rights are things that you access on the outside, if you’re a good citizen,” he said. “We’ll do everything we can to not have that happen.”

At the moment, this is all speculative: We don’t know if Jenkins still wants to marry Hernandez, we don’t know if the state is planning to call her as a witness at his trial and we don’t know if Hodgson could legally prevent a wedding in jail if Hernandez and Jenkins both want it.

But Jenkins could be an important witness, as she likely knows when Hernandez came home on the night Odin Lloyd died, how he was acting and whether he in fact destroyed their home security camera footage. Jenkins also could testify about what Hernandez’s relationship with Lloyd was like, as Hernandez and Lloyd met because Lloyd was dating Jenkins’s sister. If a wedding is part of a legal strategy to keep Jenkins from saying anything damaging on the stand, then the sheriff doesn’t want the wedding in his jail.

That's what I was wondering as well. If there is someone out there who wants to either see justice served or has an axe to grind w/ Meyer and takes the time to do some digging, I just wonder if this could still come back and haunt him?

I really believe this is the tip of the iceberg. I'm assuming Hernandez's boys are gonna sing, so u just never know what kind of dirt is going to come to the surface.

Also - how forthcoming was Meyer with NFL teams leading up to the draft (assuming he knew of Hernandez's transgressions)?
 
So let's get this straight (for now, and will be updated likely later today again)

2013 - Arrested in execution style shooting death of Odin Lloyd
2013 - Being investigated for a fight outside a bar in Rhode Island that involved a discarded gun
2013 - Sued by friend who claims Hernandez shot him in the face in a car
2012 - Being investigated for an unsolved double killing near Boston nightclub when shots were fired into vehicle
2007 - Refuses to pay bill and gets escorted out of a bar in Gainesville and punches restaurant employee giving him a burst eardrum
2007 - Being investigated for a shooting in Gainesville at traffic light where two men were hit, one in back of head.

*Off subject, if there is a probe conducted and it turns out Meyer + Florida AD swept a lot of these things under the rug (Hernandez was only suspended one game while at UF), what kind of repercussions, if any, would there be?

ehhhh that shooting in 07' is a little out there...remember Hernandez didn't have any tattoos his Freshman year

Is Urban Meyer trying to deflect attention?

Urban Meyer's will to win burns with such competitive fire that he won't allow anyone to stand in his way on the recruiting trail.

Including, evidently, his former school and a former assistant coach.

Outkick the Coverage has learned from sources in New York that Meyer and Ohio State turned in Florida assistant coach Brian White for an alleged improper "bump" violation related to the recruitment of Curtis Samuel, a running back/defensive back from Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Investigations into Ohio State's complaint this spring uncovered no wrongdoing, the sources said, but Samuel subsequently revealed Florida no longer is in his top five schools — while OSU is.

Meyer's willingness to turn in a former coach — one he hired — as well as the program he led for six seasons is unheard of in college athletics. Indeed, no one Outkick the Coverage talked with could recall a former coach turning in his former program and a former assistant coach.

The majority of big time college football coaches are like that, so nobody gonna say anything and nothing's changing......But Urban Meyer, throwing old coaches under the bus :smh:

This Affiant requests an ALL PERSONS PRESENT WARRANT be issued for the #599 Old West Central Street for the following reasons: the nature of the sale of Cocaine is such that the participants are constantly changing, Cocaine is commonly packaged in small plastic bags which are easily and likely concealed on one’s person(s),” Massachusetts State Trooper Michael Bates wrote in an affidavit filed in support of a search warrant at Wrentham District Court after Hernandez associate Carlos Ortiz told authorities he had left a cell phone in Hernandez’s Franklin condo. “An ALL PERSONS PRESENT WARRANT would enable investigating officers to search any person(s) that may be concealing this cellular device on their person(s) inside or at #599 Old West Central Street-Apt. 12A in the town of Franklin at the time the search warrant is executed.”
