Wondering if anyone has an idea on how to remove this white stuff on the toe cap- eyeing this pair but if it this isn't easy to remove I'll pass. I'm guessing just use a blow drier or something but hoping someone has experience with this.

You’re gonna find at least some degree of that on most pairs but that is an extreme case in the picture you posted

You remove it by keeping your feet on the ground and not that close to people’s eyes.

I could have enjoyed the textured sole thing if they'd matched it with some sort of earthy upper but this doesn't work for me.
