He's been a head coach for three seasons. All three of those seasons also happen to be the Big 3 era. In only one of those three seasons did he have a healthy squad in the playoffs. They got bounced in 2012 because they lost Rose (and then Noah). This year, they didn't have Rose, then lost Deng, and Noah was on one foot. Stop making up terrible comparisons.

thibs isn't a bad coach, just has had some bad luck with players getting injured and having to play the heat.

Mike Miller made 73 3's in 900 minutes last season.
Bayless made 71 3's in 1765 minutes last season.
Pondexter made 60 3's in 1243 minutes last season.
Conley made 106 3's in 2757 minutes last season.
Tony Allen made 3 (THREE) 3'S in 2109 minutes last season.
That's how ****** important that Mike Miller signing is to this team.
But Will Mike actually be on the floor and play enough to make up for the aforementioned lack of shooting though?

Exactly.
Memphis won 56 games during the season as one of the worst 3 point shooting teams in the league. They will need Miller come playoff time. I'm sure a trade will be made sooner or later involving Prince though. Free up more room for Pondexter and Miller. At this point, Pondexter is probably the backup SG and Miller is backing up Prince with Bayless backing up Conley. Not sure if Calathes is 100% coming over and Wroten might end up being packaged in a deal. Franklin needs to get healthy as well.

didnt he win a ring with the celtics as an assistant? the only ring i remember doc rivers ever winning...
and he was responsible for the teams defense
made it to the conference finals in 2011
only had rose for 39 games and still won the east in 2012
lost his 2 best players for the playoffs in 2013 and noah was banged up
with plantar fasciitis...which literally feels like playing with nails in your feet

I'm actually not its the truth. How many times have the bulls said something about the heat from them being soft to Hollywood as hell and rose knows damn right he's not the best player in the league he's not even top 3.

Yep. IMO Thibs made Doc Rivers (well the addition of KG and Ray didn't hurt either), but Thibs schemes were always on point. Should have taken over for Van Gundy after he got fired from the Rockets.

What would have liked Rose to say instead?
Thibs is great at defensive X's and O's, motivating his team, but when it comes to managing minutes hes been bad he's played Noah and Deng way too minutes, you already ask you team to play elite defense throughout the regular season and then you play them heavy minutes, now your asking Rose to play starter minutes in the pre season, the regular season is long enough to get him into NBA game shape

Only knock I have against Thibs is when Rose tore is ACL he shouldn't have been in the game, yea it was the playoffs but they had the game in the bag.

i like the signing, MM will turn it around and get healthy. i hope.
still dont care for this Grizz but if hes healthy this is a big plus especially come playoffs.
