Most likely not signing with the Heat, just seems like with his current situation as this could be his last contract, he will most likely look to cash out
 
If the money is all the same everywhere........................... I could totally see him picking Sacramento.

i see him signing with a contender over a team that is going no where. who knows how long his body will hold up and i'm sure he knows this.

win a ring with the heat while playing little minutes and still rehabbing

or

play for a team that will be under .500 and pretty much there just to collect a pay check

If the money is the same everywhere hes going to a contender but since its not in guessing hes going to a losing team that offers him a big contract

From the interviews and stories I've read of him since he last got hurt, he strikes me as a guy who just wants a chance and to be left alone in a small market. Very simple needs.


Mark Titus of Grantland (also Oden's friend since HS) has had some great insight on him.

in oden's case whoever gives him more he will probably go to.

where ever oden goes, he's going to be bothered and be under the spotlight. being drafted #1 over durant, constantly being hurt, hasn't played in over 3 years......he's always going to be talked about especially if he returns to the league.

oh well, if he goes to the kings he can play garbage time while they get blown out by teams.
 
You make it sound like him being on the Heat, going on a Finals run, playing with Lebron, possibly winning a ring, being on national TV almost every single game is the same spotlight he'll get as being on the losing Sacramento Kings.

If you think those two are the same..... be well friend.
 
he won't get that much attention if he goes to a lesser team like the kings but he's still going to be talked about on stations like ESPN and other media just because this is his "comeback".

if you say he wants to not be bothered and rather play for a team that won't get him so much attention; why wait till next week to decide.

Yea, for some reason i dont think Oden wants to hitch a ride and win a ring that way. I think hes looking at the best situation for him basketball wise where he will be able to play and get acclimated.

because its all the younger guys, not real rosters, and not a big deal. NBA TV just does it because its basketball :lol: :pimp:

next year they will probably show the blue vs white game with the real rosters like last year or when ever it was.
