No you're actually not stating facts. He shot a career high in free throw %, shoots better than the league average from 16-23ft, and became a better team defender. So please, do some research before commenting.

Yeah. I've watched probably 90% of Griffin's games since he came into the league and to say he hasn't improved defensively, both on the ball and as a team defender, is flat out wrong.

And it's funny to me that Blake gets blasted for not having a better offensive game, yet guys are saying they'd take Faried over him when Faried has far less offensive skills than Blake. Double standards FTL.

so it's a knock on a player because he's physically gifted?

i have a better jump shot than jeremy lin, but he's more physically gifted than me. this must mean that i'm better than him!

you know, i think i like your version of logic now

hell seeing as the way he plays wouldn't be shocked if you were

Faried won't get paid anywhere near Blake.

You don't think he'll end up getting $12 or 13 mil a year? Yes, Blake would still be ahead, but the gap wouldn't be huge.

I don't.

But if a team gives him $12mil might as well forfeit every season under that contract.

CBA has made it so great players still get paid, but drives down the salaries of good players. Sure some guys fall through the cracks, but unless you're thought of as a primary 1st-3rd option, or a cornerstone of a franchise no one is giving you a lot of money.

Bruh Tiago splitter just got 9 mil a year... Josh smith is getting 12-13 a year, Faried is def getting over 10$ a season no doubt about it.

Exactly. The market rates my be crazy, but they are the market rates.

Essential, how much do you think Faried will get paid annually?

I see him getting paid more than Tyreke

Splitter is an organization guy and is also a solid center. Centers have always been paid more. Always.

Josh Smith is still considered a 2nd-3rd option., as inefficient as that is. plus plays great defense..

Milsap - $9.5mil and much better player
J.J. Hickson - $5mil (12&10)
Corey Brewer - $4.5mil (Hustle player who plays great defense, but lacks shot)
Tony Allen - $5mil (Great defense)
Aminu - $3mil
Carl Landry - $6.5mil

Milsap is the closest comparison.. In terms of size.. Both 6'8" PF. Milsap has a much better offensive game.. Defensively there isn't much of a gap between them.

Then you have to look at the Free Agents in 2015 at the 4-5 and combo forwards..

Potential FAs (Some have Player Options, which assume they will decline):
Kevin Love
Marc Gasol
Lamarcus Aldridge
Roy Hibbert
Paul Milsap
Al Jefferson
Omar Asik
Tyson Chandler
Marrese Speights
DeAndre Jordan
Jeremy Evans
Luis Scola
David West
Carlos Boozer
Brandon Bass
DeMarre Carrol
Thad Young

Now Faried could always skyrocket in terms of production.. But if you look at the roster around him.. It doesn't look like he'll get the ball anymore than he did last year in the next two years. Especially if you consider he is a transition and 2nd chance scorer

Had to DVR the game last night so I just got done watching it.

I still can't stand watching John Wall in a half court offense. Ugly as hell...looks like he doesn't know how to play basketball.

Greg Monroe, AD, Barnes, Zeller, Kyrie, MKG and Parsons stood out to me.

Cousins didn't do himself any favors. Looked like he was mad he wasn't getting all the playing time and touches, and even when he did get the ball he didn't really do much of anything.

^"an organization guy"? Solid center? Splitter?? That's the logic you're using to say Faried won't get paid more than Splitter?

And Faried is a much better rebounder and defender than everyone in your post. Hes getting $11+ per.

And the Blake hate is wild. People admitting that they haven't watched him play yet they say he hasn't improved. NBA hipsters

I feel like you're somehow trying to convince us that Faried is a MLE kind of player and that he is going to sign with the Lakers :nerd:

^

That's what it usually turns into. I'm not mad attem. E, i do respect your skill with the numbers, Googling abilities and knowledge of the CBA, but sometimes your Lakers bias causes you to be wayyy off base.

No what I'm saying is no is going to commit $11mil when there's 6 or 7 guys that are better options for building a Championship team at PF and Center. And 5-6 guys who are slightly below him who will drive down his price.

Wait how did this become about Laker bias? I mentioned the Lakers in the discussion about Faried.. Give me a break

On a yearly basis for Faried, I would say $8M would be a steal, $10M would be reasonable and anything more would be a cap strain.

Cousins is who he is...that boy aint changing and realizing his "full potential"

And Farried averaged 11 and 9 rebounds on like 28 mins a game last year...he hould play more this season and his numbers are going up ...n Milsap is getting 8-9 mil at age 28, Farried is getting paid at least that when he hits free agency at 24

That's a fair point but its not taking into account his improvement by the end of his rookie contract.

Also, not everyone is building a championship team and will spend money regardless. Case in point:

The Washington wizards will pay EMEKA OKAFOR 13.5 million this year.

Worst case scenario, Faried signs with a bot feeder team that likes to spend money. He's getting 11+.

I still can't believe lots of teams passed on the Manimal.. Morey missed out.. a lineup of Lin/Harden/Parsons/Faried/Howard would've been sweet

Blue squad wasn't using their big. Davis and cousins was getting as many touches because the guards where trying to be kobe out there at times. Just taking bad shots.
