I don't care how old kg n pierce are. That starting five is potent!

D will at the 1, Johnson at the 2, pierce at the 3, kg at the 5, and lopez at the 5 with terry coming off the bench!
 
do first round picks mean nothing in the NBA. how can you trade away three of them for three aging players

if the current management doesn't make it through and they get let go. its going to handcuff the next gm having lost three first rounders

exactly, very good team is everyone is 100% healthy

Pierce should be fine during the season but id be worried about him com playoff time.
 
I'm starting to think that Nets team is gonna be this past year's Lakers part 2, but not as bad.

Lot of big names, a lot of underachieving.
 
nets should sign vince, tmac, ai, and gil :nerd:

prokh doesnt care about future 1st rounds. he'll just buy some more picks if he needs it. one thing he is doing, letting future free agents know he is willing to win at all costs. that can be very attractive to players.

i'd take old kg and paul over wallace, evans, humphries any day
they have to stay healthy and kidd has to manage minutes

They never meant as much as other sports. King couldn't care less about whenever has to clean up anyway. Since its in NYC maybe the next plan is just getting a free agent anyway and not caring about picks

Neither the Knicks or nets will ever...l ever... Build through the draft. Idiots will just keep trying to win the back page. It's like the jets vs the jets over and over



Kidd caching this team is by far the most interesting part of this to me.
 
they took in joe johnsons contract

gave gerald wallace a huge contract

amnesty TRAVIS OUTLAW

signed humphries to a big deal

gave away 3 first rounders for 3 aging players

they brought in the corpse of jason terry

and made jason kidd head coach

in 1 year

trade asset or backup. lakers arent gonna do a sign and trade. his contract isnt even that bad, considering lack of centers in todays gm. excellent rebounder and protects the paint.

nah, cant compare the two.

you dont have Kobe, Dwight, and Pau. that team had no excuse for the way they played

the Nets team will do just fine and SHOULD be a lock for the ECF. Depending on how Miami is next season i expect Miami to go back to the finals. Maybe if this Nets team plays amazing defense out of no where then maybe..

Gil would be a very nice pick up. Hes been playing in China so its not like he hasnt been working. a nice team full of vets like that. Gil would be awesome back up for Deron/JJ :x

too bad it wont happen but id LOVE IT

Gil would be a very nice pick up. Hes been playing in China so its not like he hasnt been working. a nice team full of vets like that. Gil would be awesome back up for Deron/JJ :x

it will be interesting to see how this they round out the team. how much more can they spend? they prob can offer min contracts now.

i see this team more like mavs 11 in the regular season.

well Gil is still getting paid by the Wizards so he would gladly take min. means nothing to him.

I reaaaaallly hope he'll be a backup and not a trade asset, cause he'd look even better coming off the bench (also depending on how the lineup is shuffled around)
 
The only way Nets are 'locks' for ECF is if DWill somehow decides to pull a Rondo only shoot the ball 10 times a game. He ain't that type of player so I think it'll be another Steve Nash situation where a ball-dominant PG struggles in a loaded lineup. Realistically only a guy like Rondo flourishes on that type of team

guess your forgetting how he played in Utah

people forgot about Williams because hes been playing with injuries and looking like crap. If hes healthy and with Kidd at the helm he should return to top form and this team will be :pimp:

new coach , and all 3 of those guy's where injured ...not to mention they where all fish out of

water in that system....if healthy under the right system that team does damage in the playoffs

agreed, MDA didnt do jack.

still dont see how they will improve next season unless it was all a horrible nightmare. no one expected that team to play THAT bad. with all that talent and Kobe. it cant be,
