I'm one of the biggest Smith and Jennings critics and there's no way in hell Josh Smith at the 3 is a good idea, but dammit, I can't say I'm not intrigued by this team.I pray that Billups has some gas left in that tank but achilles injuries are no joke at that age. I honestly think that he can balance out Jennings and knock some sense into him, teach him some pace. Then just have the rookie come in early to spell Billups.

Rudy

Full year in an uptempo system, the benefit of not playing with two bigs that clog up the paint and the eye surgery will do him some good. He played extremely well the last 18-20 games of the season after getting adjusted to a new situation.

I guess he will put Paul George like numbers since he's never did it before.

20ppg, 7rpg, 3apg, 47% FG, 38% 3PT, 82% FT. 56 TS%.
Don't worry.

Rudy's ascension to stardom begins in only a few months.

- Rudy Gay will be 20 a game on 45% shooting this year. Yeah he was playing against tanking/bad teams towards the end of the year, but the way he as an individual player was encouraging. Fully expect him to have a very good year, and statistically at least will be better than Paul George. Still a fan of his and a believer in his ability.
These guys know.

It feels like Amare has completely fallen off the face of the Earth. One of the worst contracts in recent memory. IMHO Nash made Amare what he was. Amare cant handle the ball, cant create his own shot and doesnt stretch the floor that well. He is essentially, a slightly more skilled version of DeAndre Jordan

Yes, im still bitter the Suns didnt trade him instead of letting the dude walk

Amare lost his explosiveness.......he was averaging 25 a night before the Knicks got Melo and they were winning games.
They were barely over .500 (granted that was a step up from the previous 7-8 years) at the time of the trade.

can they get him? i don't know what their rosters salary looks like.

No. Neither can the Knicks.. Stephen A. trolling the hell out of people..

For the Knicks to get Lebron.. They'd have to trade Amar'e's $23.41 mil for nothing, Chandler's $14.596 for nothing. Bargnani's $11.5mil for nothing.

Extremely unlikely any of those 3 will decline their options. Especially Amar'e whose career past next season is really iffy and he'd be lucky to get $3-4mil a year guaranteed

The Knicks would also have to do all this without 1 draft pick to trade with.

Melo didnt make the Knicks worse. His arrival has made them one of the NBA's marquee squads in terms of television ratings and even making the playoffs. The problem is they should be competitive in winning the conference, and they havent been close to that. Miami, Indiana, Chicago and maybe Brooklyn are still better teams then NY.

I think LBJ resigns with Miami in 2014. In the unlikely event that he doesn't, I could see Boston or LA being a surprise destination. The league's best player on one of the country's most historic sports franchises....could be fun.

Melo just need a reliable #2, amare didnt live up to that, when he had AI they lost in the 1st round to teams that went to the finals, nothing overrated about melo
