Huh? Tons of people think excessive shooting sleeves and extra gear is stupid... Dwight gets clowned on that regularly.

Is this going to be one of those things you defend all the time? A lot of people think jersey sleeves are dumb, it's a reasonable complaint to have

"Out of respect" the hell ya think Brandon Roy is?

Don't get me wrong, I was a huge fan of B-Roy; but the dude made no significant long-term impact in this league. And those are the people that's jersey number shouldn't be worn again....not someone like B-Roy...and apparently, the Blazers organization agree.
 I'm sayin. Dudes actin like B won finals mvp and donated his earnings to the homeless shelter of Portland. If mo tried to get #22 then I could see yall hollerin disrespectful. Iwonder if anyone will get 23 in Cleveland if bron doesn't return.

Those shooting sleeves are totally different than a sleeved jersey, it's all about feeling restricted when you put your hand above your head...and sleeves feel very restricting like they're pulling you down.

Shooting sleeves aren't connected to anything so that free and loose feeling when you rase your arms is still there.

meh, i dont see a big deal because um everyone plays/played in tee shirts before and still do. NBA players still wear tee;s in practice.

i think the issue is that they are compression tight on the arms so that can disrupt someones jumper

Just finished watching KD at the Jamal Crawford Pro Am, great game. He gets tons of love in Seattle... Well worth the four hr wait.

Game went into overtime and Jamal took over. KD bricked like five threes in a row in OT... Will post vids later.

Got in line at like 10:15. Was one of the first 20 in the door. Had a killer spot all day in a box seat. Had to leave at halftime of KD's game though due to a prior commitment. Such great energy in the building.

Actually the compression ones are better, so long as they're some sort of light dri fit/moisture wicking material. Regular cotton is terrible, especially once you sweat and it hangs on you. It's not debilitating but it's less than optimal and does get in the way and have an affect at times. Those sleeves aren't going to do anything because it's not in your range of motion while shooting unless they inhibit elbow movement which I doubt since they are so thin. I have never worn one. But nothing over your shoulders is best, and I agree it's stupid and looks horrible. Adidas gon' Adidas. Can't wait to see what them and the out of touch people in the NBA's decision making offices come up with next. 1sies?

When and why were t-shirts under jerseys banned?

Oh, and let me guess, out of respect for Brandon Roy players shouldn't wear sleeved jerseys because he never wore them

IMO I think the whole sleeves jersey deal is a bit off a reach by some people. Sleeves, from personal experience do not affect or make difficult ones ability to shoot.
Believe me or not, in my senior year of high school ball (this last year) I wore a long sleeve for almost every game because I had skin infections on my arms. I would say I was a competent shooter as I shot around 46.5% from 3 (with well over 100 attempts) and around 48 from the field. I felt no difference pulling up when I was wearing sleeves vs. when I didn't pre-skin infection.

different strokes for different folks, just because it doesnt bother your doesnt mean it wouldnt bother someone else

These are the most talented ball players in the world. They could be out there in hazmat suits and still excel. Sleeves jerseys just look weird.

This Andre Drummond hype is out of control. Talking about Dwight is "easily reachable" and "I think he'll definitely eclipse Dwight". Dwight Howard won DPOY three times, All-NBA 1st Team five times, 7 time All-Star and counting and won an Olympic Gold medal as the starting center. Andre Drummond will never come close to matching even one of those damn things and you're lieing to yourself if you say you think he will.

I think the funniest one I heard was Drummond being a walking double double. Dude had 9 double doubles in 82 games this past season and the Pistons didn't have anything to play for or another center on the roster keeping him from doing a damn thing.

People just follow the Hype train these days or whatever bill Simmons/Hollinger or the brain trust at ESPN spit out. Like they really don't understand how good Dwight is in this era.

I got there at 1:30 but still managed to snag 2nd row bleacher seats, real up close view of the action. Watching Jamal's handles live is something to witness.

First two games with Nate and IT were both snooze tests. Minus a few of the ex Huskies, everyone else looked Div 2 or Div 3 caliber. I swear one of the dudes must've be related to Delonte West, looked exactly like him with freckles but without the tattoos.

Shame, u should've stayed the whole game, jamal and KD were going Mano e mano during crunch time, KD had the chance for the last shot to win the game but he missed. Place would've exploded and the fans would've prolly rushed the floor.

Oh and someone needs to shoot the DJ on the ones and twos, turrible.

Don't care what synergy says...no one says Rose is the best defensive PG, or is even an elite defensive PG.

synergy has him number one AND he allowed the lowest ppp in the nba at his position (almost a full.10th of a point ahead)... Rose's defense IS elite now no matter how you shake it. Rose is the focal point of defenses and russy is number two.... they are not equal. get over it.
