Dude. I didn't even mention Wilt, either. Kobe is Top 10. Not Top 5. Let it go. Kobe is never going to be Top 5. The Top 5 is Jordan, Russell, Kareem, Magic, Bird...with LeBron looking to dethrone those last two, and possibly three.

Thank you for the most part. Shaq was still greater than Kobe in 2000 and 2001. And A.I was pretty great in 2002. So Kobe 2003-2007

That one time Bird put up a 26/10/7, on the way to a borderline 50/40/90 season, a 67-13 record, and a title. Let me know when Kobe finishes with that. I'll wait.

Kobe has done a lot for this generation as for has playing giving us 81 pts, blazers game and the stretch of 40+ points. He dominated his generation of players playing at the sg which for a while was the marque position in the NBA. It will be awhile (maybe never) for a player like Kobe to come around. Harden may bless us as the next coming but I doubt it.

When Kobe retires and the SG position is in a lull, people will really start to understand how great he was.
Harden is a great player still on the rise. But if you go back and look at Kobe when he was Harden's age, you will see an all-around player who was on a completely different level.
