Just saw Chandler Parsons and Courtney Lee while I was in line at the Supreme store in Fairfax. I would've took a pic but I'm on a 3GS

I love watching the old timers post in here

not sure what u r tryin to say?

people said Jordan got in easy in that era, because it was watered down
It's actually quite the opposite. That era had hand checking and overall it was a more defense oriented league therefore it was by nature more physical. I have no doubt Lebron would have survived in that era, but it would still be an adjustment even for him. He's not used to contact as you can tell when he gets a hard hit coming through the lane. That's the one true thing that pisses me off with him, I WISH he would have the desire to dunk on people, but that's not the nature of his game. Jordan got the benefit of calls, but make no mistake he had to earn that, it wasn't given to him as it was Lebron from the outset.

Once handchecking was removed fg % went down around the league doeee

Did you not see my post about players being better shooters back then than now? Of course it would decline, dudes can't shoot now and a lot of factors go into that alone.

Wish we could have seen Bron and Wade team up in 06 when their rookie deals were done till now when Wade still had knees and was one of the most explosive athletes in the world. Then we would have had a duo that really would have been comparable to MJ and Pip

Shaq would have never went on a world tour around the league and would have retired with more rings in MIA

Do people just not realize that offensive and defensive schemes are far more complex today than they were back then? Whatever physicality was lost from then until now has been made up for in Xs and Os. The 2011 Finals and the resulting aftermath (Miami changing its philosophy) really drives this home.

stop with that ... the pistons used the same zone the nba uses today against jordan. it was just illegal and never called.

i not saying Kobe is better than Jordan, but if you think the defense was way better in the 80/90's compared to this era, u must be out your mind

And the mid-90s Sonics used a modified zone too, and got called for it all the damn time.

Schemes are more complicated today. for example, hardly anyone utilized a pick and roll offense 15 years ago (Utah was the only top team to really do it). You needed a physical point guard to run it with all the hand checking. Now, any pansy Euro PG can run a pick and roll, which has forced defenses to adjust and scheme for it. Remember in 2006, when Team USA got schooled by Greece on roughly 8,000 pick and rolls? It's because they had no idea how to defend a basic basketball play. Now, you don't see it as much. Why? Because they know how to defend it now. We are talking about a current staple of NBA basketball that not even the top NBA talent knew how to defend even seven years ago.

Pippen was playing second fiddle to Jordan his whole career....

you think if Pippen was on his own for majority of his career his stats wouldnt be better? lulz

he would make Wade look like a scrub. DEAD SRS
In regards to defense yes. But scoring, Wade is one of the best of all time.

08-09 Wade, that's all I have to say to anyone who doubts his greatness. Hopefully his knees can give him a couple more years because a lot of y'all are talking crazy about the God.

Not to mention he's one of the greatest defenders and the greatest shot blocker at his position of all time

You're a troll man, I don't take your opinion on anything basketball related serious

I will always defend Wade though because it isn't just you but others who don't give him his just do
