Nobody likes Paul Pierce but to say he's not hofer is ridiculous. Some of you need to remember this the basketball hof, Vince and Tmac will get in, probably not the first time their eligible but a few years after, I mean they got have referees in the basketball hof, they have much looser standards.
lol at nobdoy like Pierce...he is my fav player in the league right now. I have no idea why dudes be hating on him so much.
I always ask people why they hate PP and they always mention the wheelchair incident in the 08 finals. That was pretty funny at the time, no one besides Lakers fans should have been hurt imo.

That his mugshot, or a picture from after he signed his contract with the Hawks?

Mitch gets way too much love on NT. He was a good scorer on bad teams basically his entire career. As a #1 option, he carried his teams to exactly one playoff appearance, which was an 8th-seed Sacramento team. As for his other three career playoff appearances, he was either the second-best player (Mullin’s Warriors) or a total non-factor (2002 Lakers).

Over the last two weeks, we’ve debated the Hall of Fame candidacy for AI and T-Mac, two players who are definitely better than Mitch. Two players who also dragged garbage teams to the playoffs (and the Finals, in the case of AI). Mitch couldn’t even do that. He was a nice player, but that’s about it.

are you serious????

how was he supposed to carry his team with it being such trash???

look up that god awful roster the kings had. JORDAN wouldnt sniff the playoffs with them.

MJ once said mitch guarded him the best so ill take mj word on dudes defense but we know the rock was a great scorer

lol @ tmac being better than the rock. i dont give a damn how many scoring titles tmac had... he aint drying the sweat off mitch richmond jock

The Drummond thing is especially hilarious to me because a friend of mine went to school with him in CT and said he's a huge man child always watching Nick/Disney. Dude life is coming full circle

T-mac is twice the player Mitch was. Nostalgia makes people say dumb things. in no way, shape, or form was Mitch ever near being the best player in the league like Tracy was.

Anyone watching the FIBAS? Watching Span/GBR from a few nights ago on the XBOX

Sergio Rodriguez has a Jon Hendricks beard

none of those players caused himto shoot like **** half ways through his career...

guy was the epitome of a terrible chucker

id love to see the total average fg percentage of tmac starting with his last season with the magic onward
LOL your funny. Mac took smarter shots than any other SG including Kobe. What I liked about that article is how Bll pointed out the "WTF era" of NBA teams with 1 star and a bunch of borderline d league level of teamates. I mean straight up bums were starters on teams in the 00s. Ray, Lebron,Vince, KG, Mac, A.I, Pierce, all suffered from the WTF era. Glad the younger guys are seeing that the only way to win is to join each other. Good basketball is always team basketball.

I'm going to point out something here.

As much as people give Allen Iverson flack for his shooting percentages during his prime...nobody makes a peep about T-Mac's and they're awfully similar.

It was arguable from 02-04 that he was the best player in the league though.

You ain't lied about that, his magnum opus :pimp:

My mom is still tight she dropped 160 on an authentic T-Mac jersey for me during that time

"We only had a couple of games of Grant, Tracy and Mike [Miller] playing together,"11 Doc remembers now. "I kept feeling the whole time like we could be unguardable. And then we actually saw it. All three guys could handle the ball, pass and rebound. It would have been a nightmare matchup every night. At the time, I thought we could win the title with those three guys. I really did, I'm not just saying that. And then it was gone."

So disappointed in that Orlando team...

And it's always important to remember that 03 season

Age 23: 32.1 PPG, 6.5 RPG, 5.5 APG, 39.4 MPG, 46-39-79%, 2.5 stocks, 30.3 PER, 16.1 WS

That last season (for the 2002-03 Magic) doubles as one of the single greatest statistical seasons ever submitted by a modern perimeter player. If you're only allowing one "best" season for every player, here's the short list of monster seasons we've seen since the ABA/NBA merger in 1976.

'89 MJ: 32.5 ppg, 8.0 rpg, 8.0 apg, 40.2 mpg, 54-28-85%, 4.8 stocks, 31.1 PER, 19.8 WS5
'09 LBJ: 28.4 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 7.2 apg, 37.7 mpg, 49-34-78%, 2.8 stocks, 31.7 PER, 20.3 WS
'09 Wade: 30.2 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 7.5 apg, 38.6 mpg, 49-32-77%, 3.5 stocks, 30.4 PER, 14.7 WS
'03 T-Mac: 32.1 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 5.5 apg, 39.4 mpg, 46-39-79%, 2.5 stocks, 30.3 PER, 16.1 WS
'06 Kobe: 35.4 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 4.5 apg, 41.0 mpg, 45-35-85%, 2.2 stocks, 28.0 PER, 15.3 WS
'87 Bird: 28.1 ppg, 9.2 rpg, 7.6 apg, 40.6 mpg, 53-40-91%, 2.7 stocks, 26.4 PER, 15.2 WS
'87 Magic: 23.9 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 12.2 apg, 36.3 mpg, 52-21-85%, 2.2 stocks, 27.0 PER, 15.9 WS
