but its Beas decision

so unless someone throws money at him... well yea
Beasley will probably choose Denver

didn't the Heat trade Beasley so they could sign Mike Miller and now they release Mike Miller and trying to back back Beasley

imagine if he plays like a stud
meh, different circumstances. Not really that weird. Happens all the time around the L

Heat have to be trolling. Pat Riley, Spoelstra and Wade HATED Beasley when he was the #2 pick and a top priority of the franchise - now they're going to bring him back when he's trash? :nerd:

but considering what they would have to pay for him it's a steal.

Yeah Beasley was being paid #2 money and the team was depending on him to produce... I still feel like the Thunder should give him a look, they need depth badly

Already over the 15 player roster limit, too close to luxury tax, plus he is just not good;then there's the whole "Thunder culture" thing which he is definitely not a fit in that way. None of that really means anything to me other than him not being good though, but Presti'n'em care about the other stuff too. I like Reggie Jackson leading our 2nd unit along with Lamb. Don't need Beasley's more shots than points with no d or rebounding ***. I'd like us to sign Stephen Jackson but again, same obstacles especially on the character thing, they're going with what they got. Russ, KD, Ibaka, Jackson, + Perkins' horrible ***, and a bunch of rookies/sophomores who are all huge question marks. Russ - KD are good enough you drop them on any of the 29 other teams in the league and you're in the playoffs with HCA so, allows the front office to get away with this type of ****.

Oscar Schmidt Believes He'd Be 'One Of The Best 10 Ever' If He Joined NBA
Sep 07, 2013 9:19 PM EDT
Oscar Schmidt played overseas as a Brazilian star, despite overtures three consecutive years from the then-New Jersey Nets to leave his professional team -- and the national team -- to play in the NBA in the 1970s and 80s.

Schmidt will be inducted into the basketball Hall of Fame on Sunday, and he says he would have been one of the best players in NBA history had he entered the league.

“Yes,” Schmidt said. “Anytime. It was easier, because in the NBA at that time it was one-on-one, always. One-on-one, I’m free. If it comes to two players guarding me, maybe.

“I would be one of the best 10 ever.

“There was not a price [the Nets could have offered]. There was national team. That’s it. The national team doesn’t have a price. It’s proud. It’s what you live for. And today, people don’t like to play for the national team. That’s very sad for me.”

Schmidt was asked what he would have averaged in the NBA and said, “One point a minute. Twenty minutes, 20 points. Forty minutes, maybe 60.

I could see a team like the Sixers or Bobcats grabbing him but not a contending team. Beasley is not going to do well in a reduced, specialized role. He definitely needs vets and a good environment around him but as a 10 mpg guy, he's just not that useful. It's not that Beasley is that cocky guy that expects to be a star but he needs confidence. Getting yanked for every mistake is not how he's going to learn. Those are guys that good teams depend on for spot up shooting, defense - risk-free basketball basically. No contender that has done any research is grabbing Beasley to play meaningful spot minutes.

Beas has done some good things in this league but I'm honestly not sure what type of situation he has to be in to thrive. I hope he makes some major changes this off-season and comes in focused because this is definitely his last chance to prove he's an NBA player (if a team even signs him). He always says the right things, so I know his head is in the right place but I don't know if his BBIQ and talent is up to par. The NBA isn't easy.

Is there any reason why the basketball hall of fame ceremony is in the middle of the day on the first NFL Sunday? I feel like it's much later than in the past, and it's usually on a weekday, or something.

thanks for reminding me... gp always entertaining

Oscar Schmidt averaged 42 one Olympics, dropped 32 on team USA.

I thinkk he dropped 26 on the dream team, Oscar could get buckets man, obviously no 40 a game, from what I understand he was in the same calss as Drazen Patrovic.

He stated multiple times he would have gone to Ohio State? Even since his high school days, he let that be known.

He also said he'd do the dunk contest and bring cleveland a ring. You can't be that gullible.

People need to stop assuming Jr been smoking bud. He could easily have been smoking that wet

I have a friend who is a concierge in OKC. During the Thunder-Nuggets playoff series, he had to kick out JR and his girl (The Colcord is a downtown OKC hotel close to the arena but not the "haunted" one the NBA teams stay in) because they were smoking so much in the top floor presidential suite it kept setting off the fire alarms and permeating through the entire building, even after the concierge ran some ozonators up there. He said when he went up there, JR was just like cool, broached it, and walked out leaving all his things and even some of the weed and went to the Renaissance Hotel
