Glad Beasley's gone, didn't bring anything to my team.. Good luck to him n' smoke weed. Pretty cool that Miami brought him back, hope he has more motivation to bring himself up and play some ball! We'll see..

sabonis was the goods

does anyone remember sheed throwing a towel at his face? :wow:

Me and my boy bring up sabonis sometimes, we've heard the stories of how he was in Europe, its a shame he came over so late in his career when his knees were pretty much shot already. But even then he was a huge dude who could pass and shoot the 3 with ease. He seemed out of place on those jail blazers teams.

And of course, the conversation always turns to Sheed throwing a towel in his face during that timeout  :smh: that was so dirty, and the look of defeat on sabonis' face the when the towel was removed :smh: :frown:

Beasley is one of the worst defenders in the league, a horrible passer, doesn't get to the line, terribly inefficient scorer in general, not a good rebounder for a 6'10" guy, low IQ, and lazy as hell. But other than that, great player.

False. He wasn't the athlete Penny was, but early in his career, Magic dunked on people regularly. And shooting? A toss-up, at best. Magic turned himself into a solid outside shooter over the course of his career. I'll check Google later, but I'd be willing to bet Magic has a better overall and 3 pt FG percentage than Penny.

Edit: Magic career FG % = .520, 3PT % .303; Penny career FG% = .458, 3PT % .316.

So, I was wrong about Magic having a higher 3PT %, but .303 v. .316 is pretty much a wash.
not lay ups.... shooting. Give me shooting fg for both

I'm not denying there's potential the Heat have struck gold on this deal.

But there's a reason he was released from the Suns...y'all really making it seem like they acquired the 6th Man of the Year. He's trash.
He didn't want to be in Arizona. And the team was a losing team. PPl want to win. You play better when your with winners

6'10?!! You still using them K-State measurements?

Try 6'7

are we really comparing penny not even a top 5 player in the nba in his prime (which only lasted like 5 years) to magic a top 5 player ALL TIME?
