I disagree. Cuban isn't the patient rebuilding type. Dude needs a product on the floor. They'll sign and overpay someone.
He didn't do it last year... Why now?

He's been EXTREMELY outspoken about how restrictive the new CBA is/will be for teams that panic and give out huge deals to marginal players...

So again... Why?

I think they were all surprised they didnt make the playoffs. There really weren't any big name free agents last year (he knows he ****** up with Dwill). Going after collision/kaman/mayo is what I meant. He's gonna throw money to have a competitive product out there. It might not be long term deals, but he's still gonna overpay someone.

What i'm trying to say is that Cuban will never go the rebuild by tanking route. Just look at what the Mavs do with all their draft picks. He's always gonna try to reload through FA. After they strike out on Dwight I fully expect him to overpay someone.

Why is Evans more valuable than Mayo though? What makes him better than Mayo? He's bigger, that's about it. OJ's the better shooter, creator, overall better offensive player.

Mayos a better outside shooter but ain't got no playmaking skills. And overall I'd take Evans Hardenesque drives to the basket over Mayos outside chucks any day

I really wanna say the Kings are idiots for wanting to sign Iguodala to that big contract....but one thing he can do for them is change the culture. He's been on playoff teams basically his whole career, plays great defense and is a credible veteran that's been there done that. If they just keep putting together more young guys that team is never gonna mature the way they need to.

I just don't know if Iggy would wanna subject himself to that role at this point in his career.

That's absolutely how they'll rebuild, but overpaying to me means multi-year deals and locking yourself into a player(s) that hampers your long-term flexibility... I just can't see it.

And on Igoudala... I think that's the kinda guy you want McLemore around... Competitive, fearless. It's not the way I would do business, because theyre not anywhere close to being competitive, but Dre makes some sense if they really wanna go that route.

@mcten The Lakers' presentation did not include any team legends. LAL chose "focusing on the present and the future," said a source

People are quick to forget Reke's flashes of potential at Memphis, and also he was a savage his rookie year.

Only thing lacking is a consistent outside jumper.

Honestly I'm really intrigued to see Tyreke outside of Sac... I havent completely given up on him :rolleyes

Same

That 20-5-5 rookie season before DMC got there and messed it all up was :pimp:

Kings could of had

Greg Monroe and Paul George over DMC

Klay Thompson or Faried over Jimmer

Lillard or Barnes over Robinson

Now a Lineup of

Lillard
Reke
George
Faried
FILLER

Could DEFINITELY win > 40 games

I'm sorry Kings fans :frown:

Mayo was a really good playmaker for Dallas last year though. He was at almost 6 assist a game in the second half of the season and posted a career high in that category.

OJ averaged almost 5 assist a game last year compared to what Reke put up. 5 assist isn't grand by any means, but it's a bit more than Reke, who is supposed to be the better playmaker. He's the better shooter, playmaker, and scorer. Juice > Evans.
