Why not let Tyreke walk? He's really not taking them anywhere. It's all on the Rook and DMC.

#FreeJimmer

i agree, i see no point in bring Evans back.

wouldnt be surprised if Pistons push hard for Iggy if this Gay trade doesnt get some talk from the Raptors in the next 24 hours

Lakers Can Sell Dwight Howard On 2014 Cap Space For LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony -- http://bit.ly/13kH5oB

Lebron NO!

Really can't see Melo running at the chance to leave New York to L.A. to play for Pringles again.

I know we're going to get to this point but I think Melo leaves and needs a coach/franchise where he doesn't have leverage. 11 years and what has he prove to anyone besides him being a top scorer?

Knicks seem they don't know what their doing and we all know Amare is not going to opt out.

The FA class next summer could be in Miami's favorite if more role players take paycuts and if Bron/Wade (for sure)/Bosh takes less again to continue winning.

If he stays in NY it's just going to be about the money.

I mean, I think it was a mistake to make that trade, no question. But since they have, I don't know. What's it really matter to spend on bringing in Holliday's $40 million and give Evans as much? At least you still have major upside there.

But they could have just as easily drafted a point guard of the future at six if that's what the plan was (and saved plenty of money), kept next year's pick and still signed Evans.

Who knows, man. They ****** up awhile ago by re-signing Gordon, anyway.

I def agree Rue and Reke better than chasing Kev Mart or Iggy, absolutely, but these guys get lucky getting Davis, then screw up taking Rivers, keeping EG, now deal Noel. At some point its not the spending, its the pick wastes.

MJ hasn't ruined the Bobs buying Rudy Gays, he hasn't drafted for ****. Same with the Kings (til maybe Mac) and the Wolves grabbing 11 PG's, etc.

Those mistakes are why it takes teams 5-6 years to do anything of merit.

Scott, Corn, I hear you guys, but its 2013. Takes 11 seconds to find out from smart folks Treke Evans 48 mil is bad business.

This isn't 1992. People are smarter than ever. Info is easily available. Any fanbase that wants those type players "to make a run" should lose their team.

3-4 years of solid drafting >>>>>>>>>>>>>Reke/Iggy/Rudy type contracts crippling you THOSE SAME 3-4 years!!!!

Tyreke had a great rookie year, 20pts, 5rb, 5ast. It was looking pretty good until Cousins and his horrible attitude showed up the next year. It is hard to get anything going when your starting center is constantly undermining the coach and disrupting the team's chemistry. I really think a change of scenery will do wonders for him.

Do the Kings really need another point guard or can they just use Isaiah Thomas and develop him some more? Everyone overlooks my guy, but I can think he can be a quality starter on a good team.

I want to give him at least till the deadline to see how he does with a new coach and possibly a new roster :nerd:

His ast:TO ratio is solid, but players never seemed to finish last year after a possible scoring pass made by him

No way Lebron leaves the East in 2014. The East is a walk in the park compared to the West. Any team regardless of seeding can upset in the West, while it will take a miracle to do that in the East.

CP the kings have drafted well compared to the bobcats there's a lot of talent on the kings roster, the problem is they'are an aau team with bad coaches, and bad owners

I really don't see his ceiling being any higher than Mario Chalmers (Not saying Mario isn't a good quality starter on a (more than) good team). Just saying don't see him LEADING anything

But at the same time Solid drafting isn't easy, and is a risk. Those type of players may cripple your franchise financially, but by overpaying those players you get to put out a product that is at least worth watching, semi competitive, etc. 3-4 years of solid drafting (which i'm assuming you're saying would amount to an increase in wins in that same 3-4 year span) isn't all that likely. Most teams don't get competitive through the draft, and normally only make that jump if they get a marquee free agent.

So although paying the reke's, Iggy, Rudy types excess money may seem dumb, you end up at the very least putting out a decent, competent team night in and night out as oppose to getting smacked every night, hoping that this will aid in ping pong balls and for an incoming rookie to change the face of your franchise.

The more that I think about it, Holiday (23)/Evans (23)/Anderson (25)/Davis (20) is kind of intriguing to me.

The problem is, Gordon, Rivers and Vasquez still exist.

All I know is, A.D. is doing like 18, 12, 2, 2 and 2 this year.

You could be right but if Bulls n Pacers keep improving .....BK this year and I guess the knicks.....east aint half bad as it looks...

but I do get your point.

Watching some youtube highlights it crazy how even more athletic this league will be in two years

NBA fines players for playing in Washington alumni game

The NBA fined several players $15,000 each for participating in an unsanctioned University of Washington alumni basketball game, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

The NBA fined Philadelphia 76ers forward Spencer Hawes, Memphis Grizzlies guards Quincy Pondexter and Tony Wroten and Sacramento Kings guard Isaiah Thomas for participating in a June 23 game at Alaska Airlines Arena in Seattle, league sources told Y! Sports.

It wasn't immediately known if several other former Washington Huskies involved in the game, including Chicago Bulls free-agent guard Nate Robinson and Toronto Raptors guard Terrence Ross, were subject to the fines.

Washington coach Lorenzo Romar organized the game. The NBA's collective bargaining agreement mandates that players can't play in public offseason games prior to July 1 or after Sept. 15 without league approval.

As soon as I hear the words 14 million I'm saying yes or telling my agent to say it for me.

Iggy is dumb as heck :smh

  at CP not understanding the difficulty of drafting and not being a God awful team

Oh to be a fan of a prestigious and cushy franchise.

*oh noooez the best center in the NBA might not resign here*

*the best players will always play here, because it's the Lakers*

Doesn't get any nerfier than that

 don't blame Cousins for Evans poor performance, his fg percentage is horrible yet he still jack up 3s and jumpers instead of going to the hole..

Chad Ford said on Twitter Tuesday night that as many as seven teams could be ready to tank the upcoming season in hopes of landing Canadian phenom Andrew Wiggins.

:x :x that's 23% of the L. :smh:
