If Dwight doesn't re-sign, I can see the lakers brass telling Kobe to really take his time to return from the achillies injury. They'd be in full tank mode. What better player to take the reigns from Kobe than Andrew Wiggins?

if harrison barnes is the best player on the team we  in the lottery anyways...i would take him

before he takes his game to the next level in a few years

How would that even be known outside of that meeting room?
I didn't even think about it.

Damage control by Dwight's people already being done for when he leaves.
Blaming it on Kobe's "challenge"... gonna try to make Los Angeles think its Kobe's fault Dwight left? really? :smh:

I think it's the opposite. Kobe putting himself out there at least seems like he wants Dwight back. If Dwight goes to Houston, no one will vilify Kobe for his lack of trying during the re-recruitment process. Can you imagine the backlash if Kobe wasn't there?

I am glad Kobe confronted Dwight. If Dwight can't man up and handle the pressure/ultimatum, that makes him someone that I don't want anyway. 

I cannot wait until Dwight is GONE!!
 
maybe people just wanted to see kobe humiliated and beg like a ***** to a guy who has zero rings and needs time to make a decision a couple years ago seemed like all but certain

kobe has 5 rings. he need not beg for a man child to stay

This is what I'm leaning towards, but I can see how it could also be the other perspective. I dont think hes staying so it would be in Kobes best interest to leak this infromation to make it seem like he even cares about getting the guy back in LA.... Theres no decision being made today either, not even concerned about it. I'm more excited for Summer League at the moment.

If I was Kobe, I'd dipset to Brooklyn or the Clippers. He will not win another ring with the Lakers.

Y'all are fools for hanging on every little report about where his mind is at. We've seen that Dwight is a guy with female tendencies who just wants attention, I don't think anybody knows what he's thinking.

That would suck.

The lakers and celtics have been so successful for the league ... It's about time they suck for a few years .

Let Wiggins go to a team that'll actually appreciate the guy

He's going to the Warriors...watch. Perfect big fish-small pond environment that he'd feel comfortable in, greatest shooting team in the league paired with the best big man in the league would be deadly and the other best players on the team are emerging stars in the league but more on the laid back, quiet side so he can still be THE guy. I think he loves that Warriors crowd and the idea of Mark Jackson being his head coach too. He doesn't want a guy to just be his coach per say...he wants his coach to also be his buddy, and Mark Jackson would be the perfect coach to fill that role. If they find somebody to take on those expiring contracts without giving up Klay or Barnes it's a WRAP for the West. If we hear Bogut get traded sometime today then Dwight signing or getting traded to the Warriors will come soon after.

Rockets will end up signing Josh Smith.
