You didnt say you dont think he'll be a good player, you said you dont see the hype. How can you not see the hype? The kid gets his head over the rim with ease, has destroyed other competition including randle, and another scary thing is that his defensive potential is almost as good as his offensive potential.

if the rockets do get cp3 they would be paying 14 mil one year for their back up PG

one day.

one day you guys will understand that only the Knicks would have to pay Lin 14 mil for one year - NOT the Rockets. They pay him 7 mil a year - every damn year of his contract

why does everyone get this wrong?
so his rockets contract is just 7-7-7?
it's actually 8-8-8. same with asik.
oh alright, good to know. thanks for clearing things up. still way overpaid though

Why does James Harden's contract escalate from 5 million this season to around 13 million consistently for the next few? Or does his new 80 million dollar contract not start until next year?

VP of Basketball Operation for Ole Man Rivers? I'm sure that was the icing on the deal :pimp:. Isn't that what Phil wanted with the Lakers?

He was in the final year of his rookie contract, then signed an extension with Houston that kicks in this season. That's why everyone thought it was dumb that OKC traded him. They still had him for cheap and could have made another run and then figured it out (take the cap hit for guaranteed Finals runs for the next five years), or dump him for anything they wanted. They let him go too early.

OKC should have kept Harden and paid the hit

Of course. That franchise makes money hand over fist. You know how much they stood to make with that trio? Small market that achieved absurd success on rookie contracts, but when it came time to play with the big boys, they got cheap. Everyone saw a break-up (of some sort) coming, but not like this. God, what a colossal screw-up.

At picking serge over the beard :smh:

OKC is great at drafting.

Personal decisions and coaching decisions, not so much.

If I'm okc I'm looking to unload ibaka, not saying there is better player out there but for what he brings to the table he replaceable, and tends to not show up in big games

Maybe some type of a package of Lamb, Ibaka, Jones + picks for Love or Horford & Jenkins, or to Boston for KG, Bass, Lee give them back Perkins too

Not sure if any of these trades are practical financially or basketball wise, I'm just not a big fan of Ibaka

I think Wiggins can end up better than PG. His ceiling is very high IMO. The youngin' has def to improve his jumper though.

Ibaka is fine as long as Westbrook and Durant are on the floor next to him. However, Ibaka is almost non-factor without those two, as we saw in the playoffs (I won't go as far to say he's garbage). I just knew OKC would overrate his defense and his limited offensive ability, and they'd let Harden go. I just didn't realize how much of a liability Ibaka would be if he was ever relied on for anything. There's a reason he never played for Spain in the Olympics. His three-man security blanket was playing for the other side lol.

And none of your trade scenarios are attractive for those teams, regardless of whether or not they're financially viable. Also, OKC made their bed, they're sticking with Ibaka. OKC has proven themselves to be stubborn, and it'll be their downfall.
