Arash Markazi:

Stephen A. says it's 50-50 Carmelo Anthony leaves New York next year and it's 50-50 he comes to the Lakers.

Carmelo and Kobe are tight and they've talked in passing about a desire to play together after their Olympic experience.

Kobe knows that 6th ring ain't happening this year....he's gonna do what it takes to lure a guy like Melo to LA to help him try to reach that goal.

*You'd have to think that D'Antoni will be canned by then.

Melo is a bigger ***** than Dwight if he leaves.....lol he gave the Nuggets only one option...and that was to be traded to New York, not New Jersey, not Chicago, but New York, and to be a Knick lol.

Thank god, the Nuggets got better with his absence.

screw LaLa too, trying to promote her reality show and ish

Why are we assuming Dwight doesn't work on his offensive post game? I am sick of people throwing that out there as if they know.

So because someone doesn't get SIGNIFICANTLY better in something means they aren't working hard enough? Nonsense.

Dwight HAS improved his post game over the years. Maybe not as fast as YOU would want him to but he has improved

Exactly, dude has averaged 21 PPG on 60% shooting the past couple of years. He is who he is. Dude was never going to be Mchale in the paint. Don't know why people expect him to magically start putting up Shaq numbers. That 20+/60% shooting is better than any other center in the league, not to mention that's he's the best big in the league by far when it comes to 1on1 d, paint d, blocking shots and rebounding combined. Bynum supposedly is light years better offensively than Dwight yet his best season statistically by far was worse than Dwight worse season in 5 years.

Only way Bron goes to LA is if his butt buddy DWade goes with him.. Otherwise they're staying in Miami. But I do see Bosh jetting and going to LA if they want him bad enough.

Kyrie for sure is a Laker come 2014.

This dude Runnin Thangs came in here and roasted Kobe for absolutely no reason

Not really the boldest prediction to say Dwight will have a better statistical year next season than he had in LA.
Obviously he's going to be healthier. Obviously he doesn't have to worry about pressure. Obviously he doesn't have to worry about Kobe.

I think it would be more of a surprise if his numbers didn't improve.

Being healthy and playing in that Rockets style of basketball I see 19, 13.5 and 3 for Dwight.

Melo is never going to win a championship unless he falls into a 08 Boston or 2011 Dallas situation where he isn't the best player on the team. Kobe and Melo playing together would be worse than Melo and AI, you can't put the two biggest volume shooters in the league on 1 team.

For the love of god go get Kobe a post presence and a damn PG.

I think LaLa movie/TV career can come into play like Jkidd when he had the chance to go to S.A. but his girl wanted a tv show I guess :smh:

 these drawings

So, what's the projected starting five for the Lakers looking like next season?

Nash
?
MWP
Gasol
?

To sum all if the crying and whining of Nike Talk's Kobe fans, and note I did not state Laker fans, because some of them actually do have some understanding of the outside world, if Dwight would have resigned with the Lakers, he would have transplanted Shaq as the possible best LA center of all time.

Now that he's left Kobe to his own demise, people are challenging him to fights.

Really?

You see, this is why the brawl at the palace is so special to me.

There is the part where what appears to be two fat Nike talker's walk onto the court, and they get knocked the hell out by Jermaine O'Neal, who is not nearly as physically imposing as Dwight Howard is.

What this event proves is that unless you are an actual trained fighter, you have no chance in hell in beating up a finely tuned athlete, once you've pissed him off.

Dwight Howard is going to be okay, but since some of you do not ave LeBron to pick on anymore, someone else who will put a good foot in all of your *****, you need someone place against your favorite player, one who is nothing but a punk himself, Kobe Bryant.

There are certain parts of Kobe's game that I love. His springer is a mofo, has a nice handle, and he isn't afraid of most players outside of Wade and James, where he backs off of his smack talk while on court, but that's it for me.

The rest is for Kobe fans to admire, which isn't a very high standard to rise to, considering the caliber of folk.
my man kobe is still fearless

I wonder if anyone would call Dwight Howard a ***** to his face if they were within his arms reach.
I could see D12 doing work on these **** talkers
What part of Dwight's history suggests he would go ham on critics who confronted him in person? He cowers when he has something to say about someone, talks about people behind their backs, gets bodied repeatedly, but someone's supposed to be afraid of him?

Melo and Kobe?

Not enough basketballs in the world to make that work lol.

If I wasn't a Knick fan I'd love to see Melo and Kobe on the same team, it'd be incredibly amusing. :x
