Once kobes contract is up the whole offseason is gonna be about kobe retiring or is he coming back, im sure melo dont got time for that and kobe gonna be 37 melo not wasting the end of his prime to play with a 37 year old

Then melo can waste time playing with guys like Jr smith and Tyson chandler lol. After #24 contract is up. He can join the Knicks and pair up with Melo. Who said it have to be LA exclusively?
A 36 years old Kobe is still as good as any second option and better than most NBA players lol.

Reversely. If Melo want to be the next face of LA then he can come join Kobe in 2014. By that time the Lakers would have not only cap space but a few good players from the draft. Pair Melo and Kobe with a serviceable big, point guard and you got a contending team for minimum of 2 years.

And if Kobe is going to retire when his contract is up. He's going to retire. Dude is not going to ride anybody bench if he's not producing as a dominant starter.

All im saying is a melo and kobe team can be contending for 2 years. How many teams in NBA can have that luxury? not many.

Melo and Kobe on the same team, LMAO. 2 ball stoppers who don't play defense. Dan Antoni's dream!

True but if the Malone wants to bring Mclemore off the bench and get rid of Thornton I wouldn't be totally against this.

Can Mclemore play spot minutes at the 3 if we go small??

He's a legit 6'5, I guess at times he could play some 3 but he's as natural of a 2 as it gets.

I like Calderon; as many have said not sure about the number of years, but I'm willing to give him a shot.

I think he and Devin can thrive under Carlisle. Would be nice to have JO back with him too, although in a backup role.

you have to believe the kings want to sign monta ellis just for name recognition? maybe because they feel northern california is familiar with his name? I dunno. it has to be ticket sales driven. that and maybe monta loves sac because he can ride his moped safely in the slums filled land of sacramento....

Monta was Vivek's favorite player when he was a co owner of the Warriors

Because you can't move 10 players at once when the off season is still relatively fresh

But the one player they aren't moving any time soon would be McLemore.....who plays the same position as Ellis.

Naw Mclemore is a straight 2...but you right about getting rid of Thornton, he has no purpose on that squad ..They should let my mans Jimmer go too

Who needs D12?

Lakers and Chris Kaman, I've told, have agreed to terms on one-year deal.

I find the LeBron to Los Angeles rumors hilarious. Lakers fans really do feel entitled to every superstar in the league. Why would LeBron want to change scenery again to a new team/owner/system/coach/roster at that point in his career when he already had to do it once? An established player in his prime isn't going to want to deal with uncertainty. When he moved in 2010 he stated that he was moving with the intention of closing his career out with whichever team he was signing for. If anything he returns to Cleveland, but I doubt the man will submit himself to playing for Dan Gilbert after that whole fiasco. Call this a stan post all you want but you have to look at the facts. He just won back to back titles after three straight Finals appearances and this team isn't going anywhere. What does LA offer that Miami doesn't have and more?

What reason would Lebron have to go to LA? none, if anything Melo would go to Miami to play, that is, if they were going to play together.

I think that's what is going to happen. Pat Riley would get it done.

Only the Media and Lakers fans has it in their head that everyone wants to play for them just because they're the Lakers.

Lebron is either staying in Miami

Or going back to Cleveland.

Why would he go to LA to have to live in That Kobe Shadow?

there are no shadows when you are a laker

magic, west, kareem, worthy, shaq, kobe

all different and none in each others shadow

Melo is a bigger ***** than Dwight if he leaves.....lol he gave the Nuggets only one option...and that was to be traded to New York, not New Jersey, not Chicago, but New York, and to be a Knick lol.

Thank god, the Nuggets got better with his absence.

screw LaLa too, trying to promote her reality show and ish

what are u talking bout/? what melo did is perfeectly fine. he chose one team and stuck with it. dwight kept changing his mind every second.
