majority of sports teams arent even a good investment. it's just they'll find a sucker buyer who is willing to pay even more than what they bought

99% of sports teams aren't good investment 

luckily, it seems like with each passing year the rich folk's hobby gets more and more expensive, so when they eventually sell they might recoup any operating losses they likely accrued over the time of ownership, and walk away with a slight profit.

sadly, based on a technicality, I don't think this is correct.

Since Rose got hurt in the playoffs, and Howard shut it down with the Magic before the playoffs..... Dwight never actually played for the Magic while Rose was hurt 

Plus who knows, maybe Rose will play preseason and start the season at the same time as Dwight.
