I have a feeling the Heat have hit their ceiling and probably won't see the Finals ever again.

Wade wobbled his way to game 7 against the Spurs, Ray Allen is no longer efficient, there is no TRUE PG, and Chris Bosh isn't used properly anymore.

It's Lebron in 2009 all over again for the Heat going into 2013-2014.

Just my opinion.

When they win next year for the 3rd time in a row, then what?

No matter what, Lebron's gonna think real hard about his future. Even if they're celebrating a third ring. The way that team is built, it's going nowhere within a season or two. Pat Riley's gonna feel the pressure to find another FA star (cause they'll have cap space, right?) just as much as every other team next summer.

Just added to @espn_macmahon's Andrew Bynum story: Sources say Cavs' 2-year, $24M offer only guaranteed for $6M. Still Drew's highest offer

Only a FOURTH of it is guaranteed... does that ever happen with big contracts like that?

Am I the only one that doesnt see the Clippers as a serious threat in the Western Conference?

fools gold just like last yr

same thing I'm saying about Chicago with or w/o Rose.

typical response that i knew id get from you ...but its the truth on your side only

anytime i say anything that doesnt tow the line regarding any team not the bulls i get a derrick rose has nice suits.... jfk will return before him.... is he still in rehab crap

the same space on the back of the wagon will be open for you all when you are ready

To clarify, free agent guard Corey Brewer has agreed in principle to sign a 3-year, $15 million contract with Timberwolves, source told Y!

To get full $12M in Year 1 from Cavs, Bynum would have to hit loads of contract benchmarks. And Year 2, of course, would be at Cavs' option

Right now Indiana and maybe Brooklyn are the only teams I'd take serious in the East tbh nothing personal against you, Rose or the current Bulls roster.

You have got to be kidding me........
Like the spurs didnt play at a high level with 3-...You know what...nevermind

Umm....The Spurs have some of the most fundamental basketball players in the world; followed by the best coach in basketball. They're systematically are ageless under Pop. They don't rely on fastbreaks and free throws (flopping in the paint) to win games. .

The Heat have a bunch of 30 year olds coming off the bench, all who are no threat going foward.....good luck Heat "fan".

The Heat have the best player in the league in his prime.

DOnt mean to keep harping on this.  But you are like the 6th person to post in recent pages that the Clippers will either be the #1 or #2 seed in the west.  Why?  What makes the Clippers so good in you guys' eyes?  Where do you see this marked improvement from last season?  I know Chris Paul is great and all....but he was great when he was a Hornet.  Didnt see people picking the Hornets to win the East back then.

Just looking at the West standings from last year...

OKC 60 wins
Spurs 58 wins
Nuggets 57 wins
Clippers/Grizz 56 wins
Warriors 47 wins (6th)
Lakers 45 wins (7th)
Houston 45 wins (8th)

I could honestly see it taking 50 wins to get the 8th seed next season. I really don't see why OKC, Spurs, Clippers or Grizz would win less than 55 games. The Clippers did not get weaker, nor did Memphis. I guess most are expecting Denver to not win 57 games being that they lost Iguodala. I do think they are good enough to win 50 though.

I don't expect the Warriors to pick up 10 additional wins, but they will be close. Maybe end up with 54-55 like the Clippers/Grizz. The Lakers will drop out. Matter fact, I really can't say the Pelicans will get that 8th seed. Injuries will be their biggest issue with Tyreke and Gordon. Minnesota may end with that spot. I also expect Houston to be in the 54-55 win range.

So, there are 6 teams I could see winning close to 55 games this season in the West (OKC, Spurs, Clippers, Grizz, Warriors, Rockets), which is only 1 up from last season. Being that injuries are a big part of the season, one of these teams might fell at doing that and drop a few games. Tie breakers are going to be HUGE.
