They have a legitimate chance to win it all both of the next two years though. Strongest roster in the league on paper right now IMO. I thought the Nets biggest problem last year was they didn't compete every game like they needed to. Pierce and KG ain't gonna let them drag their feet.

he won't even reach that....augustine had some aight years in charlotte....he's forever a nba back up though 

I can see burke being out the league once his rookie deal is up

It's just so up in the air- 100% comes down to coaching ultimately.  Let's hope it works!

Sure does, except Dwight is still relatively young and Kobe is better than anyone on the Nets roster. The Nets were pretty unimpressive last season, so I won't be a believer until I actually see them do something.

Less money than what? I don't think either was expecting a big pay day since neither had particularly good years last year. IMO, Kaman is lucky he got the MLE from the Lakers. He could have got the vet's minimum.

Maybe I was optimistic for a 40 win season. Kobe and Young jacking up more than half the shots per night should get them to 35 wins. I doubt Pau or Nash make it through the entire season healthy either. 
 
The hate is strong in some of you. Just because they added KG and Pierce now they're a retirement home? Neither one of them has ever had injury problems and one is coming off averaging 19, 6 and 5 and the other 16 and 9. And you're adding that to a team that to a team with 3 other All-Stars that just had basically the 3rd best record in the East in their first full season together. And Livingston-Terry-AK47-Evans-Blatche off the bench? They should be pretty damn good. I wanna see them sign one more shooter to the mix to finish that roster off.

Deron has his flaws but he's not 40 and a complete defensive liability. It's also the East which means the Nets are guaranteed a playoff spot with that roster. KG, Pierce and even Johnson will have limited minutes and plenty of rest down the stretch. Everyone is worried about the old guys but I'm most concerned about that third surgery on Lopez' foot.
 
i won't be surprised if they beat the Heat in the playoffs.

Jason Kidd was on the Mavs the year they beat the Heat.....remember that.
KG makes Bosh his female dogg....remember that too
