Picked my copy up today. Haven't been able to play it yet but I read the booklet. She said one song was inspired by Michael Jackson's Jheri curl and another by a big burning house in Django. I love this woman. Can't wait to hear the album.

This album is PHENOMENAL. The sequencing of songs is amazing, but I guess that's standard for a Monae album. I love how you sometimes have to check what song is playing b/c they just melt into one another.
