I am all for gay rights but my struggles as a black man,a gay person will never fathom unless they are a gay black male/woman and that's a trifecta in hate

Only on NT does everybody want to be politically correct and "we are the world"when they know damn well in their hearts they have other intentions(it's very clear in the TM trial thread the types of rationale that is dealt with on this board)
But I guess I hate gay people because I don't see their struggle as the same as mines
I will remember that the next time a white woman grabs her purse or when a cop pulls me over when I am in the suburbs trying to pick my lady up

Besides the marriage equality issue where is the struggle?
Maybe 15 to 20 years ago, a gay person had to hide who they were, but in today's age there is more tolerance than ever before.
In fact, in some situations the world is over-tolerant

It has gotten to a point where you cant have a negative opinion or even say anything about a gay person without being called a bigot or homophobic.
Take Tracy Morgan for example. He said he didnt want his son to turn out gay. What happened?
Gay people came out in droves and DEMANDED an apology. An apology for what? His opinion. From a comic no less.
What happened to comics being able to talk about anybody?

Most of the world respects and even protects the rights of gay people.
It used to be, "We shouldn't have to hide who we are, or be discriminated against or killed for being gay"
Well, for the most parts, you are not anymore. You can eat, live, act, and be whoever you want.
Your struggle is over.

Ok so we are listing now.....ok. Let the constructive who got it worse competition continue.

Gay people get killed ALL time the in many parts of the world. It isn't a thing of the past, they just get born, they kiss a dude and get hung. You get to walk around in this country, in this present time being proud of who you are despite the circumstances. Imagine living an existence where you couldn't express yourself the way you wanted to.....

White people want all races to assimilate and subject themselves to servitude, yet it seems blacks expect that of other groups of people. They can hide who they truly are, so that makes their struggle less. They can be cowards.

I posted that article about race and empathy to prove this very point. Everything you posted is all about you, which is exactly how white people view blacks. Your pain means NOTHING. GET OVER IT. You can't expect others to empathize with your struggle when you clearly lack the capacity to feel the pain of others.

Of course there are parts of the world that will kill a gay person for who they are, but they have the right to not go there.

If we look at it from an evolutionary/ecologist standpoint, the more gays the better. The Earth is beyond it's maximum carrying capacity by a landslide. The natural resources on this planet are not plentiful enough to withhold all 7 billion of us.

But in other terms, why are you so rustled? By 'evolved' they mean people like you haven't grown up enough to learn that equal rights for all actually should apply to everyone.

man your ignorant. So you telling me homos don't face extreme discrimination? Them people fighting for the right to get married. How is that not discrimination? Wish we could focus our attention on the other issues in this countries. People broke, jobless, poor, struggling, and going through so much more. Homos should have the same rights as everybody else. Why waste time on blocking homo marriage  when we could use that money to help people struggling in our economy? Oppression is never cool regardless. Morally it still is an issue for a lot of people, but at the end of the day, gayness doesn't effect anyone  directly accept other gays.

If they wanna do gay things and be gay, thats their business. Only God can judge them.

Just another form of xenophobia. Blacks and foreigners are something to fear, doesn't mean most white people haven't been confident they could thwart any revolutions.  Homophobia manifests itself in many ways, mostly discomfort about ones own uncomfortable attraction toward homosexuals. It's like when something is gross but you can't look away. That is homophobia.

What Im saying is that at this point in history, the struggles of a gay person, are no more than any other group.

And back then I could maybe understand the comparisons of the gay civil rights stuggle vs the black civil rights struggle.

And if so, what are they? Im asking because I want to know, what warrants people to still compare the two struggles.

the civil rights movement was/is not purely about "having rights", it's about equal treatment and equality for all people. you're viewing it strictly from the standpoint of an American. persecution of homosexuals is a worldwide problem.

go back and look at the link I posted about anti gay bills being pushed in Uganda for imprisonment and correctional rape to "cure" homosexuality.

In Ghana they were trying to arrest all of the gay and lesbian people there like a year or two ago.

to answer your question about what rights gay people don't have, in some countries they literally do not have the right to live. stoned in the streets, hung in public, beaten to death, necklaced, raped, genital mutilation...

What civil rights do gay people NOT have SPECIFICALLY, that is only particular to their group of people?
