How did he bring it on himself? He was taping the pieces of **** just like the white guy next to him.
Recording pigs on camera in 2013 is necessary and should be done ANYTIME they're conducting business.

This. I don't mess with anyone who carries a gun. I'm not saying the guy was wrong for filming the cops, but if dude just minded his own business his dog would be alive.

Why would PETA care? That owner got his dog killed. I don't care for dogs so watching it get shot didn't really shake me up. If I'm a cop I'm not letting some huge dog take a bite out of me... Cujo gotta go. The whole situation could've easily been avoided by both parties. What do you expect though when you wave your camera phone in the air to entice the cops. There is a smarter way to fight the resistance. Strolling up and down the block, waving your camera, and talking trash to cops is not going to produce a positive result. You would be surprised by how much cops don't give a **** about you. But if you start pressing their buttons because you've been conditioned to hate all "pigs" then of course they are going to snap on you one day. And for the record, I thought Dorner's vision was heroic. I still think about that guy.

I guess I'm just not about that life. I'm extra careful whenever I'm around cops, make all my movements super deliberate, hands on staring wheel, turn my rap music down. I wouldn't film a cop cause I don't want to be confronted by them for any reason. That dude was looking for trouble and he found it. Shrugs.

i get that the dog jumped...but lighting the thing up? gimme a break. pepper spray or taser woulda been more appropriate.
owner is partly to blame for leaving the window as open as he did. but at the end of day...force used by the cop was a little excessive.

Basically, dude was looking for trouble and ish got a little too real for him. In all honestly i would be pissed if someone filmed and took pictures of me on my job.

-dog owner could've filmed w/o antagonizing cops (although I heard very little)
-how is it legal for cops to put cuffs on anyone immediately w/o cause?
-dog was victim of circumstance and reacted only in defense of his owner
-entire situation was avoidable
-govt and law enforcement need their authority reduced DRAMATICALLY!
-NSA was probably live streaming right from dudes phone...think about that.

Cops are appreciated, I'm not a criminal. Besides, I saw the purge...I dunno if I'm about that existence. I feel a lot safer when there are police around.

I dunno, from most of the opinions here it is the cops fault. Of course the cops are partly to blame, stop acting like everyone in here is saying its the dog's/guy who got arrested fault. It's the opposite. NT isn't very police friendly.
You expect the cops to mind their own business but not expect the same from the guy antagonizing them?

Why was the cop even stepping to the dog man, why not keep your distance. Even with all that, shots 2,3, and 4 were not warranted as far as "protecting myself"
