Jamal Crawford Pro-Am

Takes place at SPU this year...Jamal announced there will be special guests Kevin Durant and Blake Griffin. Can't wait.

I also heard Paul George and James Harden are going. None of these dudes on any of the rosters though...

i will probably go in a couple weeks. got to many plans this weekend and next :smh:
all star day for sure

I don't think the marquee names will be announced in advance. Jamal wants those appearances to be a surprise.

Any big name players scheduled to show up in the following weeks? Thinking of driving down from Canada one weekend.

Damn, aside from the couple of Huskie alumni and a few others, I don't recognize the other names. Aside from Reke, who else has randomly shown up so far?

If you're familiar with the top greater-Seattle-area (and Western Washington, honestly) high school ballers of the last 15 years, you'd recognize a lot of names. Reke is the biggest name to randomly show up unannounced, but there will be more over the next couple of weekends, I'm sure.

Kevin Durant ‏@KDTrey5 49m
Yessir, see y'all Sunday RT @JCrossover: SEATTLE. @KDTrey5 will be making his 1st appearance at the @JCrawfordProAm THIS SUNDAY at 4pm.

Wow. 5 dollars at the door, right? How likely are my chances to get in if I show up an hour or two early or are lineups already packed in the morning??

(**EDIT: I didn't realize I was in the Pacific Northwest section so I will re-post the videos in the Sports & Training.)

Please don't mind the new username, I come bearing gifts! I've been lurking NT posting every once in a while since the early 2000s but my screen name stopped working after the switch and I never bothered making a new name since I usually just lurk.

I hope everyone was able to get in to the game but I figure since it was sold out, someone probably was denied. I recorded the game and basically condensed into a 10 minute highlight:

I was sitting next to the Ballislife guy for the majority of the game so I have a lot of the same angles. If you just want a quick highlight, here is the Ballislife mix:

Bonus clip: Isaiah Thomas highlights from the game before the Durant game. He has a nasty little between the legs move. It's the 2nd clip with the slow motion replay:

I'm not sure. However, Jeff Green was supposed to be here last Friday so I went and he didn't show up, and then they said he would be here next weekend. So I'm assuming it's Green, but seeing as how they already announced it, it's not really a surprise. The other 2 guests that Jamal mentioned was Kyrie and Blake so it might be them. I would keep an eye on their twitter page, @JCrawfordProAm. I'm sure if it's Kyrie or Blake they will make a big deal out of it like for Durant.

For anyone planning on making a trip to Seattle Pacific, keep in mind that the players are busy and can't always make the games since they may be running camps, going on vacation, etc. I went last week and Isaiah, Nate and Wroten did not show up, so I just watched a bunch of amateurs play all day. Which wasn't bad for me since I'm from the area and know some of the people playing, but for someone coming from out of town it would be a waste of a trip. So while sometimes there may be several NBA players in each game, you can also go a whole day without seeing one.

Been confirmed Jeff Green gonna be showing up this Fri for the 7:30 game. It'll be crazy if Blake or Kyrie is showing up for the game on Sun.

True. You never know who is going to show up to these things. Sunday was an anomaly, because nobody was going to miss playing that day (or, at least be in the gym). I think this weekend is going to be crazy. I don’t recall Jamal ever mentioning Kyrie though. The only names he’s officially mentioned were Durant and Blake, originally. And now Jeff Green. I think even Tyreke Evans was a surprise.

If Kyrie is announced though, looks like I’m lining up early again.

Here's the video where Jamal mentions Kyrie. It's a couple weeks ago but he mentions KD, Blake, Derozan, Kyrie, Paul George, Klay Thompson. It's around the 1 minute mark.

I'm definitely going up this Friday and Sunday but I may have to work Saturday. Do you think a special guest will be there on Saturday? I may have to take some vacation time.

Looks like we will find out soon. Jamal posted this on his twitter @JCrossover a few minutes ago:

"This weekend is gonna be HUGE, announcing another name either tonight or tomorrow!!! Let's gooooooo (diddy voice)"

Jamal didn't mention anything about a special guest appearance on Sat, only on Fri and Sun. Who knows though, someone might show up out of the blue.
