As much as I like the concept of an all 3M upper, I just don't know how well it'll be executed.

The 3M Vs from the Raging Bull pack are crease monsters.  I've worn my pair possibly 2-3 times, and everytime I think about wearing em, I just can't.  It's not the normal toebox crease that you see on other JB models...these things are CANYONS.  I've tried my best to decrease them, to no avail.

I like the shoe (5lab3), it looks clean, and bet it would look nasty in lighting, but have to wait to see some on feet pics before making  up  my mind.  Hopefully they've found a way to help with the creasing issues on the 3M materials.

Nothing special in these pictures.

Waiting to see what's in store before I make a decision.

Here's a pic of the Jordan Elements that will be used in future shoes possibly.  Doesn't show what shoes will be used but does show the symbol which gives a clue of the type of material/pattern that will be used

Air Jordan 3 "El" (Elephant Print)

Air Jordan 11 “Pl” (Patent Leather)

Air Jordan 2 “It” (Italy),

Air Jordan 20 “Ls” (Laser”)

Air Jordan 15 “W” (potentially “Woven”)

Air Jordan 4 “S”. Not sure what the S would be fore

They should have left some elephant print.  Could have even used 3M elephant print.  Also these should have had a visible jumpman on the forefoot visible thru the sole like the 5s.

I guess it was to be expected. The 3lab5s were elephant print overkill and these are the same thing with 3M.

Ugh... i feel you (although not literally ---- yet).

I've worned the 3M V's once to a xmas party a few years ago and just from that one event, there

are more creases on the box than there are under my moobs (manboobs).

*grabs iron for the fold*

I just want to take a moment to welcome back all the "passers" from the beginning of this thread. You'll be copping.

I heard rumors about them being covered in netting from the side and under the laces of the V...glad that doesn't appear to have made the final cut. I'm not a huge fan of the DB III (or most DB's for that matter), but I do like the clear sole.

I said it before and I'll say it again, these are flames. I don't care nothing bout creasing. Thekid is in there like swimwear. I'm excited to see if a 2nd colorway will drop.

Is it me, or do the pics make the shoe seem like the upper is of some softer material...Not like the green bean V or raging bull V, but almost a 3M nubuck hybrid or something? I'm prolly bugging, but there does appear to be some sort of fabric texture to them. The XIII's proved that 3m can be woven into a softer material...eh, prolly just wishful thinking.

I hope you're right...I really do.

Softer material (durbuck, nubuck, suede, whatever) would be nice, but I'm just not hoping for the same material used on the 3M Vs.  You CAN utilize 3M on a full grain or stiffer leather, and it still not crease like the 3M Vs did (the DB9s are a great example).  I don't know what JB did w/ the Raging Bull pack...but please don't do it again.

Yes! I forgot about the DB IX (and I actually have those). That's a great example.

Also, while I'm on the wishful thinking thing...Can we get the midsoles dyed instead of painted? That would eliminate the paint chipping epidemic...I mean, for $225, it's kind of the least Nike can do...

Why? Its not like there will be a permanent flash when wearing them
I have a bunch of 3m sneakers and if they don't appeal to me more by the time a release date is set then i will scrap these from my purchase list because i can always buy something and trade and cop later. I missed out on the gammas just to catch a sale on a AM 2013 EXT QS. Jordans are not a priority to me thats all.
