Air Jordan 3 Retro 5Lab3 2014 Release info $225 "Kix and the City"

I swear reading some of these comments ppl are just plan stupid and cant read.
 
Think about the sample white cement 3 that had clear soles years ago. It will have clear soles, reflective material, flames some where in the design, and maybe netting on the tongue. But, I don't think netting will be part of the design. I think that's an "element" they will leave out. I'm sure it will look like those red reflective 1's that are floating around on the internet.

I actually saw these yesterday at a special Jordan Brand event and they are sick! $225 may be a little high but I guarantee you'll change your mind when you see images of it. All 3M upper including the Jumpman logos. Sort of a dark blue on the mid sole. Never been a Jordan 3 like these before. Almost a foam like material. It reminds of these all 3M Pumas that's out on retail right now. Most people are already paying $225-$235 for foams and these are way better than any foams out right now.

There were no pictures allowed. They actually took our phones alway. There were 10 of us that won a raffle that got to see them.  Besides calling it 5lab3, the 3M was the only trait of the 5s.  No webbing or shark tooth paint schemes at all. They also showed off the new Melo BHM.  Also very nice looking. Minimal BHM print on the tongue and toe box with a gold Melo logo on the back. Sort of a dark purple/blue color.

Sounds interesting none the less. I'm always a fan of gimmicks/themes/fictional/nonfictional back stories on AJs as opposed to random new colorways with no purpose other than aesthetics. And all the people whining about price increases remind me of cig smokers or clowns using the phrase rape prices, no one is forcing you to buy anything. Maybe that expendable $200 a month shoe habit could be you having your own health insurance if a $10 increase is making you sweat, high blood pressure is never good for your heart.

Yeah, and also that $225 price is not confirmed either. It may be less or it maybe more. But one thing is for sure, there has never been a Jordan 3 built like these.  There were no leather or stitching that I could see. I guarantee when the internet sees the Jumpman logo in all 3M, they are going to flip. Some will hate it but others will camp for it.
 
I heard it would be all 3m. I am in if I can luck up and get a pair again. I am glad people slept on the 1st lab series.
 
Hey Nike!! Pleeeease listen?!?!? Being a true sneakerhead enthusiast since 1989 buying hundreds of pairs and thusands of dollars  of Nike/Jordan brand product. Let me say YOU ARE slowly losing your customer base appealing and catering to a trend fly by night hype temporary culture of sneaker "wangsters" continuing to raise the prices you are gaining a market share that will come and go and is not loyal!!! My friends true sneakerheads that have been in the game for yeeeears are dropping off everyday!! NOT due to age, its allll the same reasons, price, inferior quality. WE feel you are catering to this new found demographic that will be on to the next trend within a couple years while turning your back on the ones that got you here!  Trust me when I tell you from someone who has seen and watched from the sidelines since the beginning of the crazes inception there is one group that will hold on with you and if you aren't careful you will never get us back. I am not saying its just the old OG guys, its even the newcomers that have a true appreciation that look down on the Jersey Shore, faragamo belt stunna shade or whatever new trend it is that the Corps seem to be only interested in.  With the prices continually going up I hear daily people that are out.  Hey execs could you imagine $100-$150 for retros with higher availability and above average quality?!?! I truly believe in the long run you would see huge CONTINUOUS profits for years to come! I smell the demise of the sneaker game, I see it being pushed into a total underground culture where anything that's new is considered WHACK HYPE, and only dealing in OGs etc is accepted. ITS HAPPENING already!!! Good luck with your current business plan BUT I can say I have seen this approach before and it doesn't end well.

I feel ya as an og collector myself. But, also being in business and now getting my PhD in organizational leadership, I understand JB business sense. They have to stay creative, innovate and keep pack with the changes in time. Yes, there are risks associated with the creative process, but JB has had more success than not with new items and new ideas. Staying true to old heads is the reason for the old retros. The material and quality can be up for debate because I do see both sides, but craftsmanship like cheap paint chipping and cracking is inexcusable.
 
Think of the Jordan db line. If it was in the 90's and early 2000's, no db Jordan would sell. Those colors on the 4's, weird design on the 1,2,3,9.....NOT! A plastic shoe with words and a blacklight on the 5 would not have sold at all. But in today times, where everyone wants to be different, they sell like hotcakes and is driven by social media
