The Bridge on FX....Season 2 - Jubilex

They slowed it down this week

Next week will probably tell us why Gina was down in Mexico sitting in front of someone's doorstep

I don't think they ever actually mentioned Sonya having aspergers it was just said on imdb & critics saying it.

I like that Sonya is awkward that dinner table was an example pretty much everything is weird. & Marco's son just likes Sonya he's probably has a crush. I was laughing when she said the food didn't taste good so rude and why you keep staring at me.

Yeah they never mention it in the show. Hope they won't think it's a reveal of some sort

Marco is a dumb *** @ getting caught that way. I must've missed the part where it was said earlier the wife was a step mother to Marco's son. I agree son is weird but I just think he got a thing for that pale skin, want him some Amber's and Becky's.

Linder killing dude

What an episode. I lost it when linder said "oh dear" after dropping the body on his car. Also, i think the killer is on the el paso PD, because he called cross' line seconds after hanging up on her after she answered frye's phone.

We delved into Sonya, Buffalo Bill's character, and even saw more of Marco's hot potato character (does a bad thing aka awful parenting telling his son he and his wife's issues are none of his business, does a good thing aka gives back the $).

They continue to build though. The death of that 15-year old girl doesn't really do it for me, she was annoying anyway. For a second I thought the mafia boss was going to kill of Marcos for the sheer notion of rejecting his bribery. That would've been a hell of a way to end an episode, and I would be intrigued to see if the show could handle losing such a big character. If they were able to not lose a beat, that'd be a great move in my opinion. Killing off main characters has to be done in the proper way.

Anyway, doesn't matter, they didn't.

Charlotte's Tampa husband/boyfriend in the process of getting roasted by the FBI. >D Dude's a complete idiot, but he gets to think he's doing it for at least a little while.

The body nailed up... that visual. :x :wow: And the fact that none of the citizens dared to take it down so they just went about their days with that there. Imagine that.

In terms of Sonya and the Captain Buffalo Bill.... we discovered he covered that case and has sort of always looked over her.

Decent episode, felt like a lot happened... gotta sit back and digest it now. We have to have seen the killer by now, right? It's somebody that has gotten screen time.

^^^ thought about that a few times but i decided to dismiss it.

What happened to that chick that got dropped off at the ranch that ol boy was after?

I was watching the episode with the tv volume blasted & the opening scene had Charlotte sex scene lol almost woke up my family.

I didn't understand the captain story when he was talking about a previous case with Marco. Anyone help?

^

Marco found his patient record when they were going through a doctors stuff.

A long time ago, there was a girl that was raped, beaten, and killed. The only person available to identify the body was her little sister.

He ends up tracking the guy down to a motel and shoots him in the head. On the police report, he mentioned that the guy reached for his gun, but that never happened. He shot him because he wanted to kill him.

At this point, Marco suggests that the department made him see a shrink because of this. Hank tells him no, and that he sought the shrink himself. The guy that he shot didn't die, but ended up suffering brain damage. Because of this, the little girl could never get the answers she was looking for. This disturbed him because he felt responsible for her pain.

The little girl ended up being Sonya. This explains to us the history and background of their relationship.

Eh the show is starting to lose me. Just too much going on and it's a little sloppily put-together IMO. I guess I'm just not a big fan of mysteries like this...the killer is too strong in all phases, it's like they're going up against Batman

The only thing keeping me hanging on is Sonya because I like the character.

Ok thanks I understand it now so Sonya probably was visiting that same man at the end.

like a tv version of Butler from Law abiding citizen  except they haven't caught him yet.

So they reveal the backstory btw Sonya and Captain but haven't revealed her illness if she even has one because of that wiki. :nerd:

I'll update the thread title, but I've got ID on DVR and will have to do the same for Destino. I'm on vacation until the 25th, so I won't be able to get caught up until then.

Omg this episode was so intense.the opening scene lol he ate Graciela out.

Then the sniper head shot that that was so graphic

 all bad for the driver

Marco's wife :smh:

That head shot caught me off guard. Next episode looks good

I dunno...a lot of things seem too weird for me. Really...that dude would just agree to give that ol' broad oral like that? :x And then I feel like they're really trying too hard to make us hate Marco's wife. It's like they're trying to copy the formula of "Annoying, b*tch wife" like all the other dramas except it's so rushed. With other shows, we have at least a season or two to know their character and why they've become that way but this woman just assumes he cheated ONCE and then hates him like he was Tiger Woods going through dozens of women. And then she suddenly wants to hook up with that nerdy teacher

But then the most questionable moment for me was when the cop got sniped and yet the other detectives were still trying to drag his body out of there even while bullets were raining down  The guy's head was blown off...he was obviously dead but these guys were still standing out in the open trying to pull him away while the sniper could have easily got them (I know it turned out he was only targeting Marco).

I am glad the killer is caught though, his act was getting old. Maybe now they can shift the focus of the series.

Man everyone was getting it in this episode.

While Childress may have been involved in the shenanigans, he doesn't strike me as being The Beast. While both Childress and The Beast are kilers, the Beast's killings are intricate, thought out and show a level of intelligence. Childress just seems crazy. I don't think he could've pulled off some the killings the Beast has done like the poisoning the illegals, or the Colombian necktie the Beast gave that girl's father a few episodes back.

Interested in seeing how all this comes together for the rest of the season.

Marco admitted to cheating. I'm pretty sure him saying he didn't care about the person he banged and then said he slept over at Sonya's house made it worse. So I aint even mad at her getting her swerve on. My problem is on who she decided to bang  I know that guy from a few other roles. C'mon, she could do way better. Also I'm wondering why she won't divorce, they don't even have a kid together.

The show seemed to be adding a lot of sex as of late cuz I guess the writers know this slow build won't keep everyone's attention for an entire season.

Yeah, I did not get carrying his body to cover and risking death like that  Pretty clear to me all them shots after that became total fiction the way he didn't hit any of them. Given he said he was aiming for Marco, the Mexican, I think he never intended to kill a white person.

Still curious to who the mastermind is behind this. I think the final eps will help me get a final opinion on this show with potential for where they can go next season.
