May pick them up at some point but only if I can get them on the low. Funky is a good term to describe them. I like them a little more each time I see them.

Any of you guys feel that Reebok could've done a lot better to promote the K I? Did they not hand out any free pairs at all? Should they have dropped Retro+ colours that were not Purple based?
In any case, that 'Aztec' joint looks like a little kid's shoe or pair of shoes you wear once then completely forget for a couple years - and when you do find them you ask why the hell you bought 'em in the first place. Completely understandable for them getting marked down hard.
The OG colourways on the other hand including the Sonics retro+ have been marked down pretty fast as well. Those are pretty safe for daily wear and they are super comfy too. Is the general public simply not feeling this shoe?

Ааааh, you just nailed it again...They have done a very poor job promoting any model this year and probably the last part of the last year. There are so many examples, I don;t even know where to begin with...
I don't see any promo pairs supplied to any of the popular YouTube-rs
Almost no blog advertisement
No history or story telling what so ever
Other than the Barbour shop videos, no real advertisement
No PR or Marketing involvement in NT, I truly believe NT is a great way to quietly advertise and listen to peoples feedback and opinion
Despite the efforts to promote with rappers, and "VIP's", they have simply failed to create any kind of buzz.
Should stay as close as possible to the original look and materials of every model they are releasing, no unnecessary changes (need to realize they are not Nike, Nike can afford to play around with materials and look, because they just have a lot of money and fame to do it)
So at the end, even if they are so out of ideas, or really don't know how to achieve better success, they can simply copy what other brands are doing and just put some more efforts and show that they care what the fans think.

NK, Trent - why do you think it is so hard from someone at Reebok to create an account and post info here? Ewing Athletics generates more buzz for their footwear and they are a significantly smaller than Reebok with a limited product catalog.
You'd think that Reebok was some upstart company being run out of someone's garage with the absolute lack of information.
Their ads are not resounding with the public either - maybe show kids/athletes playing ball in the shoes and cut to them wearing another Reebok Classic after sport.

It looks like Reebok is putting MOST of it's energy and resources in the Fitness side of sportswear. There is constantly info and ads by them. Primarily Crossfit. Wish the Classics would get more attention

Reebok are suffering of a complete marketing ADD, if it wasn't for the retro game, where do you think JB would have been now? The cross fit is all good, but why not boost the good old classics as well, after all this what they used to build up their name 20 + years a go.

This is very true, I was speechless when I heard they dropped the Reebok Vector from their 'inline' product in favour of that generic Crossfit triangle. Crossfit's a fad that will pass eventually - the Vector logo has been established for years.

Trent you're absolutely right on the bolded part. Reebok has utterly failed to capture the 'sneakerheads' and we older cats can accept moderate changes (no branding/logos due to copyrights, some material changes) but unnecessary colourblocking and shape changes are an absolute no-no. Some friends and I were waiting months for the 'Sonics' K I and they drop the green toe cap which made the shoe stand out vs. the Black/White - none of us got a pair.
Reebok retro+ colourways are an absolute joke - the cats who aren't fit to make colourways for NSW/JB retro end up Reebok, the absolute worst of the worst. They need to go back to the drawing board and look up TEAM BANK in the colourway dictionary. There are consumers out there who are simply not feeling Nike/JB's loud colored plastic offerings.

Why do you want that though? So far Reebok staying under the radar has landed me quality shoes at 1/3 JB price. I love how it is right now.

I'm not hating on how you feel. It saves money, especially with how the prices have risen over the years. I do find it funny how some complain about Reebok not completely staying true to the OG's and not releasing bad c'ways. If Reebok did EXACTLY what was wanted....these same people would more than likely wait for a discount because of some Jay's or foams dropping at the same time. Let's not kid ourselves. You know this is true
