EM's are an ID shoe with few exceptions (Philippines, Bruce Lees...) The ID options are great. They're not really trying...and I suppose they don't need to. FK/Elites are where people's heads are at.

^ if your speakin on the patterns, i agree.
in the past couple of years, kobes have become way too reliant on outlandish patterns to draw appeal.
blame the one peice uppers. they limit colorway possibilities.
one of the reasons i dont bother with kobes much any more...

I don't mind patterns as long as they make sense and look good.
Cobalts are limited though so watch them sell out

^ that's why if I want EM I stick with 8s. Color combos for the 8s weren't the greatest always, but it wasn't this bad as the EM 9s.

Man to be honest I don't have any 8's but the superhero elites and just by going to the 8's forum you can clearly see pretty much all the colorways are better than the 9's none have been good. My girl bought me the poparts and I took them back immediately

That might be a bit of hyperbole. Personally I think Philippines, Black/Crimson and Bruce Lee's were good.
In the end for me, the IX is all about the Flyknit releases.

Okay the Philippines were nice I'm just salty I didn't wake up on time even though nike still had that fiasco.. But the Bruce lees could've been id'ed and those crimsons were supposed to be related to MJ but I'm not seeing it

Even if they could be ID'ed, for 160 vs. 205, I'll take 160. i think the crimson to Jordan relationship was pretty straightforward, although the crackle on the midsole was more reminiscent of the Blake Griffin Earthquakes than JBrand splatter or elephant.

EMs are dope but flyknit is just different for a basketball shoe thats all, I like em all honestly
