i hope this countdown isn't the new system of releases

there were a lot of pairs left after the link went down

i released like 3 9.5s & 4 10s
So far Jordan 2's and 1 OG's are now "Twitter Link Only" aka countdown so it appears they're going to do this going forward on all releases even on stuff that wouldn't have been TLO in the past.

Next time Nike should test their new system on Roshe Runs or something.  They do it on limited releases and the only thing it does is drive up the resell price.  I didn't want them but decided to see what the countdown was all about.
While it sucks, it may have been overalll more beneficial to the non-bot and ATC users. I agree it worked like crap, but element of surprise and to catch everyone off guard was overwhelminingly effective. Do it for a pair of Roshe Run's the week before and ATCs and Bot programers have time to find a solution. So, for every upset person, I'm sure there a sizeable amount of people who copped because the aformentioned were cut from the equation. After saying F it, this isn't working at all, I was fortunate I saw a tweet mentioning not to give up people are still checking out. I quickly added to cart and was lucky enough to get a pair.

It was interesting seeing that shot clock this morning....and then no options appear. I hit restocks on BHM's this week, so it was probs for the best that I couldn't cop. But I'm sorry for the ones that were really after these, because that was some ******** this morning. no other way to put it.

Yea was trying to cop for my godson this morning and wasn't able to cop for him. Got stuck in line via mobile and got hit with the OOS. He thanked me for trying, but sucks I couldn't help him out because he really wanted these. :smh:

Struck out on NDC this morning. Nike needs to go back to TLO only for high demand shoes like OG cw Jordan retros and limited/hyped Nikes.

Last time I tried for a 5am PST release were the Powder Blue X's and it was simple twitter link click then add to cart, wait, then checkout. Easy and not complicated. I'm guessing the Captcha helps against the bots and ATC's.

The countdown timer is just a terrible idea.

Tried to come up on the 2 HOHs that got em here. No luck. On to the next one, unless I see em in person and get so hyped that I bite and end up on payin' resale.

I could be completely off base, but the "free for all" seemed to level the playing field so-to-speak.  I don't know very many people that can cop TLOs manually prior to captcha. But even the Bot can't solve captcha, I'd bet dollars to doughnuts, it's going to beat you to the captcha screen every time. Please don't miscontrue my comments that I like it better, because I don't, but for this particular day, it served its purpose weeding out autoscript and ATC.

What would be good trade bait for these?

I got an extra DS size 11 pair of 2011 WC3's that I'm gonna bait since I already got the Nike Air 88's.

Would that be an even trade or should I ask for cash on top?

I doubt you find a taker for that offer. I could be wrong, but I surely wouldn't. In terms of  "limitedness," they're not even close. I hope you do find a taker, I just highly doubt you find him/her.

I've cooled myself off from missing these.  Just gotta keep thinking about the flyknit lows coming.  There's always something better coming down the line in the future.

So...much...truth.

I only wanna grab the Gold Collection pair on 6/6, and then see what the FK lows are working with.

One of the worst online releases ever.....

I don't know what the hell Nike was doing with the timer, but whatever. It's cool... Clock strikes 0, and can't even do anything. Hopped on mobile, sizes, click add to cart... Nothing.

Then 15 minutes later, while I'm taking a piss before I'm about to go knock back out, homie texts me saying can add now on mobile. By then it was too late.

Nike really dropped the ball on this one. I feel they owe us another chance at these because THEY ****** up.

They should just put it back how it was when bots ran ****, felt like I had a better chance manually then than I do now.

The element of surprise shouldn't be the check that ensures a legitimate purchase. Rather it should be whatever it is that Nike is trying to implement, be it image captcha, timer, raffle system, etc. Get that **** right to level the playing field b/c I'm not interested in crowdsource testing new features on NDC unless they're going to put me on the payroll.

If they're going for element of surprise (which I HIGHLY doubt) then why have a release time? AND a countdown timer?

Why not just have a release time window, and drop at a random time during that window? They used to drop at a random time in the middle of the night, should go back to that.

It was weird.

I had the timer then picked my size, clicked add to cart but nothing happened for like 15 min.

Then went in to the waiting in line thing.

Then got the OOS message.

@s dubl  I agree. I don't think the element of surprise is a part of Nike's strategy. My point was that the regular consumers (those w/o bots, atc services, etc) shouldn't have to get lucky because of the element of surprise like today's fiasco or servers going down because of Tiff dunks.
