to the dude that said got blisters while playing with the elite lows. beethovens were my first FK lows and i can already tell i would get blisters if i wore them to ball.
bruh, go ball in some 7's and then come back to these.

these will feel like pillows

I got bad blisters every time I wore my 7's for ball and was hoping I needed to break them in, well used them about 6 times then gave up.

Worst Kobe's hands down. (I balled in 1-9 so far)

my top Kobes would be the 5's, 8's and now elite 9's

you know. what if I buy a pair of Bee's and paint the white speckled midsole black?...can we get a PS of that?

Beets over MPs?!?!?
laugh.gif
now thats funny
I was being sarcastic. Joking about the poll.
Not one of those people who think the Beethoven is better than the MP would trade a pair of MP strait up for Beethoven's. Beethoven's are just hot right now.
Agreed. Beethoven is a great shoe, very wearable, etc. But the 9 High is on another level, and at the top of that, the MP. Not everyone can or wants to pull them off, but they outshine the lows on a number of levels.

cant agree with you more

Another thing is how many people on that poll that voted Beethoven actually own the MP? Not many I bet. I'll go buy a resell pair of Beethoven's right now if any MP owners really would do that trade.

People paying over three bills for Beethovens

I think I'll redirect my attention towards the reds lol.

It's a matter of opinion, move on. You guys have been arguing about this for a minute now.
It is a matter of opinion, and I'd hardly call any of it an argument. But thanks for being the Move On Police.

I guess we could limit all discussion to Red FK Laces, Are We Gonna Cop the EXT, When Is The China Release Date, How Do You Clean Flyknit, and Do Elite Lows Fit TTS?

Naw.

I just wish that Baes would've been like the first NDC pics (aka. insta cop)... Can't handle the white medial side and white lateral swoosh

that's only because of the value of MPs.  Just like no1 would trade a Range Rover for a Dodge Challenger, even tho the Challenger looks way better.

imo, the Beethovens are the second best colorway....behind the DETAILS.

MPs get a lot of hype because they were first and they were limited.  but if you put the MPS, Details and Beethovens beside each other, the MPs would easily be the "fat chic in the pic"

Or nah.

Guarantee Bae prices will only rise
Possibly. Resell prices generally are high right after release when the people who did not get them really want them and hype is highest, then fall over time as the hype dies and people see how many pairs are actually available and what they are actually  selling for, then go back up over time as pairs get worn and the number of total DS pairs drops. Right now hype is high and people are asking too much, in a week or two or whatever, the price will adjust to more accurately reflect the market for the sneaker after hype/impulse is not a factor. Just because 50 people list the price on EBay for some shoe at X price, does not mean X is the price. X is only the price is pairs are consistently selling at X, otherwise X is just pie in the sky, and people are not that interested in actually selling. Of course, there are always people with enough money to just pay whatever, but a few pairs sold at a ridiculous price still does not indicate the actual market price.

According to EBay, using search criteria "Kobe IX Beethoven" they have sold 216 pairs (and some are in fact not Beethovens) with prices between $225 - $349, not including shipping, with another 160+ listed for sale (again, not all are in fact Beethovens). I would bet in the next week the price begins to adjust back down as resellers sit on pairs.

Whats up everyone this my first post and first Kobe shoe. I wanna give a review but first some background on me for context. I'm 5'10/165 with good length and described by others as a 3. I rely heavily on my quickness, speed, and euro step on offense. On defense my lateral quickness combined with length allow me to keep up with most quick guards, I also look to help off to protect the rim so I make a lot of quick running leaps to contest shots. Previously I've played heavily in Jordan XX1's (suede), OG Hyperfuse, Hyperdunk 2011 (2 pairs), and most recently the Hyperdunk 2012 low.

On Monday I wore my HD2012 lows to work (woooo casual week) and just walking around in them I had a hard time believing the Kobe Elites would be significantly better. The court I played at is NBA size. My initial observation was the traction is by far the best I've had, the outsole is literally sticky. I make a lot of sharp movements to the point where it's impossible to play in running shoes without my foot coming out of them altogether so I really need something that provides lateral stability and the carbon shank/heel counter is just what I've been needing. I've been a Flyknit fan since I picked up a first wave  Lunar 1 and that's what really drew me to this shoe for hoop. People have posted that it's a gimmick because of the hyperfuse backing but I don't see it that way. In the past hyperfuse based shoes have not moved as naturally with my foot as the Kobe Elite and they also had more give laterally, I love the setup and I'm not sure a "true" flyknit upper would be enough for what I'm doing. The cushioning setup really surprised me. I'm all for zoom especially compared to the Lunar in the HDlows but court feel from the drop in sole is exactly what I want.

I went with a size 10 which is what my Lunar Flyknits are but most of my hoop shoes at 9.5 fwiw.

Why does it have to be hype? Maybe people just really like the textured/weave look of the flyknit. So sick of the word hype. Believe it or not some of us just wear what we like and couldnt give a damn about what others think

I like the look, too, but flyknit is supposed to be lightweight and pliable. None of the FK Elites are either of those things.

Nike didn't put flyknit on the highs and lows for functionality, they did it for aesthetic purposes to generate interest (hype...). Most of these flyknit Kobes aren't even utilizing the weaves to their potential, so IMO they're really failing at almost every point with these shoes. The EMs function better on court and the majority of the FKs are very plain.

I understand I'm probably alone in this line of thought, but that's fine. The FK Elites have just been incredibly underwhelming from what I thought they could/would be.

I completely agree with you on the notion that the flyknit on the Kobes aren't utilized as they should be and more of a look, but that doesn't mean it has to be "hype". I think Nike walked a fine line with these shoes on adding the flyknit look but still keeping it true to a basketball shoe.

I don't think "real" flyknits would hold up well, perfomance wise, on the courts.

I don't know if I want to keep my BAEs. I don't trust myself or anyone I know to keep them clean. I live in Toronto, so the market price is high. What should I sell them for (considering I can't buy the MC IDs, which is the only other low pair I want).
