Why does it have to be hype? Maybe people just really like the textured/weave look of the flyknit. So sick of the word hype. Believe it or not some of us just wear what we like and couldnt give a damn about what others think
I like the look, too, but flyknit is supposed to be lightweight and pliable. None of the FK Elites are either of those things.

Nike didn't put flyknit on the highs and lows for functionality, they did it for aesthetic purposes to generate interest (hype...). Most of these flyknit Kobes aren't even utilizing the weaves to their potential, so IMO they're really failing at almost every point with these shoes. The EMs function better on court and the majority of the FKs are very plain.

I understand I'm probably alone in this line of thought, but that's fine. The FK Elites have just been incredibly underwhelming from what I thought they could/would be.
well yes, they basically wanted to show off all this new tech buzzwords for hype

It really irks me to know that the Elite's flyknit doesn't really wrap around your foot very well.

nike didn't even really want the flyknit on the first place, that's why there's the tpu under the flyknit

I mean, when a 40 dollar single upper flyknit+ shoe that i went a full size up on has better fit than a 225 kobe 9 elite that i bought tts you know something's wrong

Could care less what the polls say, again its an opinion. What's hilarious is the salt on the Beethovens. Fact is that poll hasn't seen one shoe contend against the MP's until now. So that should tell you something!!! Maybe its the functionality of the shoe being a low, maybe it's the color, or maybe just, just maybe some people just didn't care for the MP's as much as others. I think both look great but after wearing kobe lows for so long, going to high just didn't feel right or look right IMO. AGAIN its an opinion.......So if you love your MPs just love them and lets move on, because if not some of you are going to have to hire lawyers to defend your opinions.

It's funny that the MPs value is so high based on being the first colorway and being "limited"... I remember when they dropped at Nike Santa Monica they had SO many pairs and people were coming in back to back to back for them in groups. I was actually going to pass because of the price tag until my homeboy convinced me to just get them.

I like the MPs, only highs that I have, but I like the lows better. I want to get every Elite Low pair.

MPs were still limited. Just because locations in LA or NY had plenty of pairs doesn't mean the rest of the country did. They didn't release at that many stores, and big retailers like FTL didn't release them online. For some people, their only shot at getting a pair was either through NDC, which crashed like crazy with Tiffany Dunk Highs also releasing that day, or random sites/shops that had them online.

Did not know shoe had 3M
Dre Day showed the 3m a couple wks back and then again about a wk ago, i hope your wrong about limited i'll be upset if i strike out because of bs, everything i've read has these at the bottom of most peoples list whether it be here, twitter, or the shoe websites, i'm hoping my chances are looking good

People keep talking about how the lows are more functional. If you can't pull off the 9 high you just don't have any fashion sense. It's not hard at all. If you weigh 500 pounds I get it but if your a regular build and can't figure it out you just can't dress. If someone thinks the highs are ugly I respect that but not being able to pull them off casually says a lot about your lack of style. IMO

Thank goodness for the site crash though, pry the only reason I got a pair.  I tried adding to cart in the morning, site crashed, tried for about twenty more minutes then said F it.  Went back to sleep got back up about an hour later and had a pair of MP's in my cart and checked out haha.  Worked out great for me.  Even had two Tiff's in the cart but dropped those, lows are better anyways.

Homie.. If you ask any mature women her thoughts on the high top Kobes.. She'd look at you funny. If you are talking about fashion sense, the high tops don't work with anything but shorts. If you actually keep up with the fashion world, a well dressed person is usually wearing some well fitted pants with low tops, probably not even sneakers.

i halfway agree with you because they're not hard to pull off at all but the issue is do people agree with everyone's style, everyone is diff with how they want to style their clothes, me personally if i ever got a pair of elite hi's i'd throw my jeans over and could careless about what everyone thinks because that's how i like to dress and what makes me comfy where as somepeople would have joggers on which i think are ugly so yes easy to pull off but not everyone is gonna agree with whether it looks good to them.....opinions gotta love them

I have seen very few people pull them off casually and the people who were able to had very long legs, imo! Maybe you can pull it off but that doesn't make you the majority. You can wear the lows with anything basketball gear, khaki shorts and pollo, jeans and tee, joggers, hell pretty much anything. I didn't say the MP's were not functional, I just said the lows were more functional, IMO! But you are probably right, sense of style is probably lacking a little, I can admit that!

again it depends on your individual style and culture, think of the highs like cowboy boots (hear me out) some wear them with the jeans covering some wear them with the jeans tucked in just depends on your style, don't let someone dictate your style or change how you want to dress because the masses say so, be your own person point blank, i still wear loose fitting clothing because i hate all that tight fitting crap but hey that's me

Agreed and repped. I'm 5'7, and rock the elite highs with slim-fitting chinos or slacks. With the proper tailoring, the look is awesome! Style is an artform, and art at its very core is non-conformist. That's why I laugh about style trends, total antithesis of art. Just do you!
